Chapter 2

Sera POV
"John can I stay at your dorm tonight?" I ask "Y-yeah sure you c-can," he says nervously the walk home was awkward and silent. "Hey, sera?" John asks "Hmm?" "What would your mom think of us being together?" He says "I could imagine the look on my mom's face if I told her I got a boyfriend" I giggle "oh. so she wouldn't approve of me?" He says sort of disappointed "Hold on, you didn't let me finish. I think she would love you, I also think Leilah would love you" I wonder how Leilah is doing "Who's Leilah?" He says confused "oh she is my older sister, I think we should meet up sometime"

At Johns dorm
John POV
Sera and I were sitting on the couch watching tv until we noticed it was 12 o'clock. We went into my room, sera got a pillow and blanket and while leaving I grabbed her wrist and said: " h-how about you stay here for tonight?" "Ok but where will I sleep" I sat on the bed and patted it "o-oh ok t-then" I laid down and sera laid down next to me

Sera POV
I laid down next to John and I feel an arm pull me closer. I let John pull me close to him and quickly fell asleep. I awoke the next morning feeling groggy I guess I'm not a morning person after all. I was confused about where I was because I was not in my room. Suddenly the memories of last night flood in, I could feel my face warm up. I noticed that John was gone, so I got up and went into the living room where I saw John sitting on the couch watching tv as blyke was in the kitchen making coffee. "morning sleepy head" John teased "how'd you sleep?" he asked "like a rock" I reply groggily

John POV
"Hey blyke, can you make sera a coffee while your at it?" I ask, loudly "y-yea sure" "sera? Wanna come to the mall with me? I need to buy a new phone." I ask "wow I thought I'd never see the day. YOU asking ME to come to the mall" I say in disbelief "Yea whatever I cracked the screen on my phone to the point where I can't see anything so I need to buy a new one" "Really John? You need to take care of your shit" "yea ok let's just get going already" I hand Sera her coffee and we start to head to the mall

At the mall
Still John pov

Sera and I were walking around the mall and we decided to start heading home, it was about 8 o'clock and started to get dark. While leaving we saw the vendor at the ability gauge booth, I start to get pissed because he started the whole ability loss. "I know what you are thinking, John but I think it would be better to forget about it my ability will come back eventually." Sera says while pulling me into a hug "oh! Speaking of that I might be able to help you with your ability" I say, she looks at me confused and says "what do you mean about that?" "I'll show you once we get home"
