On our way back to the house Jaeden suddenly stops scrolling on his phone and it's a picture of Sophia and I. I had posted some time today and he just stared at it with a small smile. Soon enough something clicked in my head and I look back at the screen with the same thing on it, then back at him with the same small smile on it "Jae ?" I said in a curious voice. He didn't look up. "Hmm?" I raise an eyebrow "do you like Sophia ?" He looks up at me with wide eyes and then laughs a little. "Yeah y/n I think I do." I laugh with him "gosh that makes so sense !" I say in between laughs. It really did make sense and I think they'll be good for each other. " sorry for asking you out while I had feelings for somebody else." He said rubbing the back of his neck. I shrug and look at him "sorry for agreeing when I had feelings for someone else" I finally admit, more to myself than to anyone else though. "Jack?" "Who else?" I say looking up at the stars. " well then this worked out huh?" "Yeah I guess it did."

When we finally made it back to the house the whole gang was sitting at the table with a couple boxes of pizza talking to each other. "Hey guys." Nobody hears us. "Yo!" Not one response. "We're back!" We scream to get their attention. "Oh shit. You guys scared me ! Now come !" Sophia grabbed me and Kayla pulling us upstairs "woah calm the fuck down dude !" I say trying to slow her down a little.
Soon enough we reach the guest room I was staying in and I'm out of breath. "How about a warning next time before you do something like that ." I say as I start to take off my bag and get out clothes to change into. "So how was it ?" Kayla finally ask after I finished changing into some shorts and an old sweatshirt. "We had fun but we're just friends! and won't be anyone other than that" they both stare at me with a confused expression plastered on their face "I'm sorry what?" They both say looking at me still. "Wait then what was the point of the date?" Sophia ask trying to piece things together. I shrug at them "I guess it was to just find that out." I say sitting on the bed in between them. "So how did you guys agree to be just friends. I bet it was awkward and silent for the rest of the way. Wow that had to be TERRIBLE ." I shake my head "not at all actually! We both said we had feelings for other people and were way too different to ever get further into a relationship." They both nodded and Sophia looked a little relieved which I would choose to ignore for now. " ok that makes sen- wait jae has feelings for some ? Wait no ! Scratch that ! You have feelings for someone ?" Kayla starts screaming a little . I laugh at her "yeah I guess so." "Who ?" Sophia speaks up. "I can't say who Jaeden has feelings for thats like illegal". She face plants and then speaks again "that's not what I was saying. That's what my next question was. I was asking who you had feelings for ?"
I look away. I kind of tried to avoid telling them THAT much. "Jack" I whisper . "Bitch speak up" Sophia said laughing. "Jack" I say again this time louder. I can feel myself blushing. "Yesssss ! The ship is starting to sail!" They start jumping around and hopping on the bed and I sigh. "How about we calm down !" I grab them to stop them from breaking anything and we all laugh.

*meanwhile in jaedens room*
"Wait so you guys aren't going on a second date?" Finn ask and I shake my head. Then Jeremy ask the next question " ok and you guys are still friends ?" I shake my head again to confirm humming a quick 'mhm'. "Then you don't have feelings for her?" Chosen asked confused and scratching at his head and I just say "Nope" I say popping the 'p'. "And she doesn't have feelings for you?" Jack speaks up for the first time since I got back. I remember the conversation I had with Y/n on the way back from the diner. I suddenly feel bad and feel the need to apologize "sorry for asking you out while I had feelings for somebody else." She looks at me smiling a little "sorry for agreeing when I had feelings for someone else" my eyes widen. "Jack?" I ask kind of hopping it is. "Who else?" She responds looking up at the stars still smiling. "No Jack she doesn't have any feelings for me at all either." I say and flop down on the bed. "Now get the fuck out I'm fucking tired you bums." I said kicking them all off the edge of the bed. "Fuck!" "Not cool dude!" "Really Jae?" They all say stuff from the floor while I laugh at them. "Yes now get out !" A few flick me off before they left.
