Mary's Pov

"-sure"

I can't believe it! I am actually going to join the most feared pack in the country. I'm starting to get Drake's message when he says 'started from the bottom now we're here'... Aaahhh Drake, I don't know about you but I find it hard to find any good men these days, and if you do find them they are most of the time either way out of your league or they are celebrities! Like whereeeee are the men in this town? What's a girl supposed to do? Oh Shakira you really know your stuff!

The Alpha cleared his throat and looked at me.

"Mary?" He said

"I'm so sorry Alpha, it won't happen again" I said embarrassed

He laughed " It's fine Mary but I was just telling you the rules for the pack, although maybe I should give it to you on paper"

" Yes please" I said shyly

He reached into his drawer and pulled out a piece of paper " Here Mary"

"Thank you Alpha" I bowed my head and walked out of the room

I was just about to go through the door when he spoke up

" I think we are going to be great friends Mary"

I turned around and said " I think so too"

I walked out of the room with a smile on my face

An Hour Later

I am very lost.... The moment I walked out of the Alpha's room I thought I knew where I was going so I went down the stairs to what I thought was the first floor but I don't see anything except doors of what I am guessing are bedrooms.

I accidently bumped into someone because I am not looking where I am going. Go me! Note the sarcasm.

"Oops, sorry I wasn't looking where I was going" I said apologetically

"Oh it's fine don- Wait a second, have I seen you before?" He asked confused

"I'm Mary, I just spoke to your Alpha and he said I could join the pack and now I'm lost...." I said a little embarrassed. I mean, who wouldn't be! Right?

I heard a voice down the hall but I couldn't make out what it was saying.

I heard footsteps and the loud voice "Taylor, get your but down here now!"

"Oh Oh, better run" I guess his name is Taylor said

"Taylor!" The voice got closer until I could see who was shouting.

Coming down the corridor was a beautiful girl around my age and seeing her beauty I instantly turned shy. I quickly looked down trying to avoid her gaze but unfortunately she looked at me and asked

"Oh Hey, Do you know where Taylor is?"

I pointed down the hall and said " I think he went that way"

" Thanks!" She said while running off

I sighed in relief but sat on the floor, I still had no idea where I was.

As much as I was shy around her ,I still needed someone to help me get to the kitchen. I'm starving!
After a few minutes that felt like hours, the same girl came back. This time her holding Taylor by the ears. I looked up at them and practically begged them to take me to the kitchen, with my eyes of course, and luckily I think Taylor got the message I was trying to say through my eyes because he spoke up " Hey Mary, why don't you come with us?"

The girl that is still holding onto Taylor said "Yeah, come see me beat the pulp out of Taylor!"

I flinched at her words and they noticed. "Are you okay?" He asked worried

" You should be more worried about yourself, This girl is going to beat you!" I said

He laughed "She's just kidding"

"Yeah I'm just kidding " she said

"Oh" I said embarrassed

"Right, Mary, this is Vanessa. Vanessa this is Mary" Taylor said

"Hi Mary!" Vanessa said and then she did something I knew that someone would do, she put her hand and was about to slap me when I recoiled trying to get away.

She with drawled her hand and looked at me weirdly. I knew it! All packs abuse their pack members. When Vanessa was pulling Taylor by the ear she was actually going to hurt him!

"Please don't hurt me" I pleaded

"I would never hurt a pack member!" she said looking a bit offended

"But you were going to slap me" I said confused

"No, she was going to high five you! It's something you do to welcome someone or to congratulate them." Taylor said

"Here let me show you how to high five someone"

"Um... Okay" I said hesitantly

"So you put your hand up like this" he put his hand up like Vanessa did and I flinched. "Don't worry I won't hurt you!"
"Then the other person puts their hand up like this" he pulled my hand up and then gently hit it. "Ta Da, now you can do a high five!"

"Um, thanks" I said

"Alrighty, To the kitchen we go!" Vanessa said excitedly

We walked down the stairs and went to the kitchen.

"So girls , what do you want to eat?" Taylor asked

"PASTAAAAAAA" Vanessa screamed.

"Mary , you okay with that?" He asked

"Yeah!" I said

"Well then let's get cooking!"

We laughed and started on the food. I was in charge of the pesto, Vanessa in charge of the pasta and Taylor in charge of supervising us. Because we totally need supervising....

Everything was ready and we put the food on our plates but while we were eating Vanessa asked me something I was scared to answer.
