When i wake up again I'm in the lab and lying down on a hospital bed hooked up to machines. I start to freak out alerting the person sleeping next to me that I was awake. "Asha it's ok I'm here" steve said calmly "wh what happened" I asked scared.
He only looked down refusing to meet my eyes "steve" i asked as a tear escaped down my face. "Asha the blade shattered the bone in your shoulder tearing through the muscles,nerves and skin" he said solomly. I then tore my eyes off steve to my nonexistent right arm making me gasp and sob allowing my tears fall.
I turned to steve and cried into his chest as he held me rubbing circles on the small of my back. I stayed like this until my tears ran dry sitting up "I'll go ask banner if you can leave yet and one of your sisters to get you some clothes ok" steve said standing up. "Thank you" I crocked sadly as he left leaving me to my thoughts but luckily bucky interrupted them.
"How are you feeling sis" he said genuinely conserned "like I lost my arm" i said dejectedly "mmm just as I thought" he said dramatically thinking. "What" i asked playing along with it "your still you sadly and I'm afraid there's no cure" he sighed. "Ha ha very funny" i replied sarcastically just as a nock on the door sounded "come in" I called.
In came percy, thalia, bianca, nico and arya "mummy" arya called as she ran to me and jumped on the bed "hello angel" i greeted as she hugged me. "Hey asha" nico greeted as the others followed suit we then talked and bantered against each other acting like a true family.
After an hour steve returned with the rest of the avengers "asha your free to leave" bruce said as i snatched the clothes out of nat's hand and got changed. I put on an old pearl singlet, ripped denim shorts and some ankle hunting boots. I then walked out with my fake smile saying 'I'm fine it's ok' cos it wasn't and in reality i was screaming historically, sobbing agonizing tears I was slowly dying from the inside piece by piece. It was onlya matter of time before I broke completely beyond repair until then I'll put on a fake face and pretend everything was ok even if it's not.
