Mavis felt a momentary surge of nausea, the aftermath of teleportation that always left her disoriented. The sensation resembled an unsettling bout of motion sickness, a fleeting discomfort that would dissipate within seconds.

As she regained her bearings, a momentary loss of balance made her feel as if the world was spinning. She squinted, initially met with a blurred panorama that gradually sharpened into focus. The transition from disarray to clarity unfolded slowly.

A pungent scent of smoke permeated her senses, confirming her arrival in the midst of a battle. The ground beneath her feet bore scars, with patches of bare earth, clusters of scattered rocks, and thick grasses swaying in the unseen currents of conflict.

Surveying her surroundings with a quick glance from left to right, the scene mirrored the one etched in her clairvoyant visions.

The field, the enigmatic fog, the erupting explosions, and the billowing smoke—all played out in vivid reality. Yet, one crucial element was missing, and her heart quickened with concern as she scanned the tumultuous battlefield.

Shoto, where are you?

On cue, a resounding voice pierced the air, charged with unmistakable annoyance.

"Deku! F-ckin move your arse away if you don't want me to blow you into smithereens!"

"K-kacchan! We're supposed to be a team! Stop fighting with Todoroki!"

"Move aside, Midoriya."

Mavis stood there, dumbfounded, the cacophony of their verbal skirmish echoing in her ears. The only coherent thought that registered in her mind was that Shoto was embroiled in a confrontation, a revelation that set her senses on edge.

In the monitoring room, where the remaining members of Class A-3 gathered, Ochako couldn't hide her concern. "All Might, are we not going to stop them?" she inquired.

The others, having completed their exams, watched with a mix of curiosity and apprehension as Midoriya, Shoto, and Bakugou remained engaged in the last leg of the test.

"Let them be. The time is almost over," All Might replied, his imposing figure leaning against a leather chair. His unwavering gaze remained fixed on the screen that displayed the ongoing trial.

The examination had paired them into three-man squads, reminiscent of the provisional license exam.

Their mission: to rescue 'civilians' – lifelike robots crafted by the support course students – while contending with 'villains' who, in a twist, were played by professional heroes.

The criteria for success were comprehensive, reflecting the multifaceted nature of hero work:
Number of Civilians Rescued, A measure of their efficiency and commitment to the core duty of heroism.

Teamwork, Evaluating how well the trio collaborated in the face of adversity.

Planning, the strategic foresight demonstrated in navigating the challenges presented.

Adaptability to Different Situations and Environments, highlighting their ability to think on their feet and adjust to dynamic circumstances.

Flexibility and Creativity in Quirk Usage, recognizing the innovative and resourceful application of their unique abilities.

As the clock ticked down, the room held its collective breath.

"Their group is the last one I'd want to be in," Jiro commented, her gaze fixed on the large screen displaying the tumultuous trio of Bakugou, Midoriya, and Shoto. On the screen, Bakugou was immersed in a cacophony of profanities directed at Todoroki and Midoriya.

"I second that. Ribbit," Asui chimed in, her agreement punctuated by her signature amphibious interjection.

Bakugou's notorious lack of cooperation was no secret. His constant clashes with Midoriya, coupled with his obstinate refusal to heed advice, painted a picture of a team in perpetual discord.

Todoroki often plans on his own. His bluntness annoys Bakugou.

Midoriya, on the other hand, possessed analytical skills and an earnest desire to connect with his teammates. Unfortunately, fate had thrown him into a team where the concept of cooperation seemed almost nonexistent—mere remnants of a term that struggled to find relevance within the trio's dynamics.

Each member, formidable in their own right, seemed to operate on a different wavelength, creating a symphony of dissonance within their squad.

"But if we talk about strength, their squad would be a formidable opponent... If they work together, that is," Sero remarked, his eyes still fixed on the intense display on the screen.

"Hmm, you're right," Kirishima nodded, as if contemplating the potential powerhouse that the trio could be if united in purpose.

"Why is Bakugou so angry, though?" Mina queried, recalling the tumultuous scene she had walked into when they handed over the proverbial baton to the explosive team.

It became evident that Bakugou's anger was not only palpable but also one-sided. Todoroki, seemingly unfazed, absorbed Bakugou's onslaught without retaliating or even dodging, creating a stark contrast in their clash.

"You see, Mina-chan, it seems like Todoroki said something to Bakugou... Todoroki also kept getting in his way during their fights with Ectoplasm and Aizawa-sensei. Maybe that's why Bakugou got pissed," Ochaco explained, her attempt to shed light on the source of the tension rooted in the limited information gleaned from the obscured field conversations.

"Woah, woah! Who's that?" Kaminari exclaimed, stepping forward to get a closer look at the unfolding scene on the monitor.

As Bakugou prepared to unleash another round of explosions, Midoriya positioned himself to intervene. However, a figure emerged from the dissipating smoke. Clad in a distinctive uniform, the girl captured everyone's attention.

Her attire triggered a wave of recognition among the onlookers. "Wait a minute,"

Kirishima mused, squinting at the screen. "Isn't that...?"

The anticipation hung in the air as the familiar uniform hinted at a connection that piqued their collective curiosity.

Her hand raised, aimed at the incensed ash-blonde, and a subtle blueish glow enveloped Bakugou's body. The furious explosions he sought to unleash withered away as if extinguished by an unseen force, rendering him immobile.

"Who the f-ck are you?!" he snarled, his frustration palpable.

"Why are you attacking Shoto? He's not even fighting back," Mavis retorted, her gaze unwavering as she addressed Bakugou's unbridled aggression. The freckled-eyed boy, Midoriya, stood nearby, beads of sweat forming on his forehead as he observed the unexpected turn of events.

Meanwhile, Shoto's eyes mirrored a mix of surprise and disbelief, silently questioning the success of his unspoken plan. It worked?

As Mavis stood before Shoto, his initial surprise transformed into an emotionless facade. Shoto's thoughts echoed in the silence, wondering if his unconventional strategy had indeed worked.

"It's none of your business!" Bakugou bellowed defiantly.

Mavis clicked her tongue in annoyance. Raising an eyebrow at Shoto, she seemed poised to retort when a sudden emergence of clones, all bearing the likeness of the pro hero Ectoplasm, surrounded them. The distraction momentarily diverted her attention.

While Ectoplasm looked somewhat familiar to Mavis, she couldn't place him among all the pro heroes she might have encountered. Driven by instinct, she regarded the clones as potential threats and swiftly unleashed her quirk.

Marble-sized rocks levitated from the ground, obedient to her command. With a flick of her hand, the stones whizzed through the air, hitting each clone with uncanny precision. The force behind the rocks punched clean holes through the bodies of the clones, causing them to vanish in an instant.

The effectiveness of her attack displayed a level of precision and power that hinted at the mastery of her quirk.

Midoriya's jaw dropped, and a gasp escaped his lips at the astonishing display. In a blink, Mavis had eradicated all of Ectoplasm's clones. The sheer efficiency and power of her quirk left him in awe, and curiosity gnawed at him—what kind of quirk did she possess?

Before he could voice his wonder, the ringing of the bell announced the conclusion of their practical exam. Mavis, seemingly indifferent to the reactions around her, tilted her head with a nonchalant expression.

"What's going on?"

In the monitoring room, All Might leaped from his seat as he recognized the girl's face. A series of exclamations erupted from those present.

"Who is she?"

"Did you see what she did to the clones?!"

"It was awesome!"

"How'd she get inside?"

Ignoring the commotion, All Might strode out of the room, determined to confront the newcomer.
