Katarina pov

I just finished my rounds and i can't wait to take my little intern home with me. I've been without her for so so long, I'm not about to let her out of my sight. Even if I have to, I'd tie her to the fucking bed just to make sure.

'I bet she'd like that.' I smirked as the thought fleeted through my mind.

I opened the door to her room excitedly, only to be greeted by the sight of that bitch Llanes trying to feed her some ice cream.

"Say, 'ahh', baby. You're gonna need your strength back," she cooed at my puppy.

My teeth gnashed, "What are you doing here?"

Their gazes snapped to my direction, and El's eyes widened comically before she grinned sheepishly.

"Ice cream?" She offered, smiling adorably at me.

Now, how could i get mad at that? Like a fucking puppy indeed.

The bitch, on the other hand, smirked. It was almost as if she was daring me to throw her out.

"Well, would you look at that. You actually came," she feigned shock.

I swear, I could feel a vein pop on my temple, "yeah? Why wouldn't I? She's my girlfriend. You, on the other hand, are not. So again I ask, what are YOU doing here?"

She snorted, "Girlfriend, huh? It didn't look like that to me. In fact, this little puppy told me you kicked her to the curb. Poor thing looks like she's been losing weight."

I ground out my teeth, knowing that I don't exactly have a comeback to that. I felt my guilt renew all over again.

El cleared her throat awkwardly, "We sorted things out already, Nikki. We're back together again."

'Nikki?!'

What the fuck?! When did they start getting so close?

"You got back together with her, huh? Darn! I missed my chance," the bitch winked at my puppy.

El simply shrugged, "You can't keep two people who are meant to be apart."

I grinned at El's words. She really knew how to disarm me with just a few words. El was like magic to my boiling hot temper.

"And to answer your question, she and I are friends," Dr. Llanes threw my puppy another wink.

My little intern nodded at her words, "yeah, we're cool, Rina. So please, be civil with my new friend."

I crossed my arms over my chest. I felt like a petulant child that was being told to play nice.

I huffed, "Fine. Just as long as Llanes doesn't cross any lines with you."

Dr. Llanes smirked, kissing my puppy on the cheek.

I saw red and moved to strangle the bitch, but El gave me a hard look and I stopped in my tracks.

"Rina, love... don't," El said sternly.

I raised my hands up in exasperation, "Fine! But she started it!"

Dr. Llanes laughed, holding on to her sides, "Oh, God. You two are priceless."

'Note to self: slip the bitch some laxatives in her drink.'

"You really bring out all the emotions out of her, El. Makes her even more fun to mess with," Dr. Llanes said through fits of laughter.

I clenched my jaws, 'Note to self: double the dose of laxatives.'
