with a sigh. she pushes herself away from the bar. lisa walks out after giving a wave to the bartender.

she grips her bag's strap as she walks to the nearby station. she checks her watch to see it's 11.57pm. if she's fast enough she can catch the midnight train, the last train.

she speeds up and she skillfully dodge people. she takes a right turn that lead her to an alley.

this should be the shortcut.

she thought before entering the alley. it was dark and she could smell cigarettes and she could hear the laughter of what she believes to be drunk men.

as she walks pass a group, she heard them call her out but she ignores them and sped up.

she hears their footsteps and she starts running.

she sprints and sprints until she reaches the train station. lisa turns behind her to see them slowly catching up to her.

she quickly takes out her card and scan it and she sprints in even before the gates could fully open.

she rushes down the stairs and she saw the train pulling into the station. she quickly jumps off the last two steps before sprinting into the train.

she lets out a sigh once she was in and she sat on an empty seat as she breathes in and out.

lisa thought she was lucky, but she thought too soon. the group of men managed to rush into the train right before the doors closes and she lets out a grumble as she slowly tries to inch away from them.

"hey you! we're not done yet!" she heard one of them said and she quickly gets up and dashed to the other side of the train.

unfortunately for her, she reached the end and she was cornered.

one of them steps forward and lisa tries her best to inch away from them but it was no use. his hands tries to grab her's but she quickly kicked him back, making him stumble backwards.

"yah!" another said and he moved closer and reaches his hand out and clenches his fist.

she raised her hands as she tries to block herself. she expected a hard impact, but that never came. she moved her hands down to see his wrist was in someone else's hold.

the stranger twisted the man's arm, making him groan. the stranger pushes them back before stepping in front of her, separating them from the shorter girl.

"leave." she said firmly and coldly. one of them were about about to fight back, but a fist collides with his jaw and he instantly cowers away.

right on time, the train pulls up to the next stop and the group of men quickly left the train.

the taller girl turns behind her and thats when lisa had the chance to see how she looks like.

she had blonde long hair, she was wearing a black turtleneck that was tucked into a pair of formal pants.

"are you ok?" she asked coldly but lisa could care less about her tone. lisa slowly nods her head.

"t-thank you..."

"rosé or chaeyoung," she said before lifting her hand out. lisa grabs her hand and chaeyoung shook her hand firmly before dropping lisa's hand and dropping her's to her side.

"thank you rosé, i'm lisa,"

chaeyoung gave her a blank look before giving her a small nod. she turns around and was about to walk away when lisa grabs her hand.

chaeyoung turns around and raises an eyebrow.

"uh... since you helped me... i thought maybe i can pay you back... we can go eat ramen at—" lisa was cut off when chaeyoung roughly yanks her hand away.

"no," she said coldly before walking away.

lisa was left frozen, wondering why the girl was so cold to her.
