midnight train || chaelisa [discontinued]

chapter 2

lisa sat down with a huff, her seatmate, jisoo turned and looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

"what got you so worked up on this beautiful morning?" jisoo asked and lisa scoffed when she heard the older girl mention 'beautiful morning'

"first of all, it's not a beautiful morning, mrs lee keeps on pestering me cause i didn't hand in my homework,"

jisoo shooks her head at her friend's laziness.

"and secondly, i'm not worked up, just a bit piss,"

"isn't that similar to being worked up?"

lisa gave jisoo a glare and the older girl let out a laugh, if the younger thinks she looks intimidating, then jisoo does not want to break her delusional bubble.

jisoo did not have to signal lisa to continue as the girl started whining again.

"last night this woman saved me from a group of guys and i wanted to buy her ramen to thank her but she just ignore me and coldly said no," lisa then slammed her face onto her desk and let out a loud groan.

"well, that's depressing... getting rejected," jisoo said and lisa turns her head, that was still laying on the desk, and looks at jisoo.

"no shit captain obvious," lisa grumbled before turning her head to face the window. the younger's eyes roam around, looking for something interesting to watch as she waits for their teacher to come.

"where you going after this?" jisoo asked as the packed their things. school just ended and lisa just wanted to be alone for the rest of the day (which is not that long since their school ends at 5pm)

"to the bar," lisa grumbled. the younger grumbled louder when she heard jisoo laughing, "why? to drink your sorrow away?"

lisa take a glance at the shorter girl before she continues to pack her bag. once she zipped her bag, without warning, she swung her bag to jisoo, who was still packing up.

the older let out a yelp before trying to steal lisa's bag away but lisa used her height as an advantage and lift it up.

"yah!" jisoo said as she jumps up and down to try and steal lisa's bag away.

lisa playful sticks out her tongue at the older before she quickly dashed pass her. jisoo who wanted to get her revenge, quickly ran after lisa despite not packing all her books in her bag.

"well we're here," lisa said to jisoo as they stopped in front of the bar.

"you sure you don't want me to accompany you?" jisoo asked.

after they were finished with their playful fight, lisa told jisoo she was being serious and the older offered to accompany her but lisa, of course, declines it.

"yup unnie, you should get going now, bye," lisa said and she waves to jisoo who was walking to the bus stop that was slightly further up.

once the older was out of sight, lisa walks into the bar and pushes her way through the sweaty crowd. here were a lot of people despite being seven in the evening.

once lisa reached the bar, she plops down and ordered her usual.

"byeee," lisa said before waving her hand to the bartender like a mad woman.

the girl was tipsy, close to being considered drunk.

lisa pushes her way through the crowd and she walks out of the door.

she takes in a few deep breaths before she starts walking to the metro station.

once she reaches it, she stumbles down the stairs and presses her metro card on the scanner.

she then stumbled her way into one of the seats as she waits for the train to pull into the station.

her eyelids start to get heavy as time passes by. the urge to sleep kicks in and lisa tries her best to keep her eyes open as her head tilts downwards.

just as she was about to surrender to sleep, the noise of the train pulling into the station could be heard and the girl quickly open her eyes and got up, stumbling a bit.

she shuffles into the train and she plops down on the nearest seat, not sparing a glance to see if anyone is around.

as the train doors close and the train starts to pull out of the station, lisa leans her head on the glass panel that was next to her seat.

she close her eyes and allows sleepiness to take over her body, not noticing the two pair of eyes that was on her.

chaeyoung watches the younger girl like a hawk as the younger sat down and fall asleep. chaeyoung was about to scoff when she heard shuffling.

she turns her head to see the men, that was once sitting diagonal from lisa, now sitting right opposite from lisa. she could see the way the guy hungrily eyes her.

her protective instinct kick in and she quickly walks towards the younger girl, that was still unaware of everything. she sat herself down next to the girl before she threw an arm around the younger's shoulder and pulled the younger nearer to her.

lisa who was a light sleeper, felt it and jerked awake. the younger was about to push whoever hand that was on her but stopped when her eyes met rosé's.

"w-what?" lisa sleepily said.

lisa saw the girl leaning in closer to her and lisa felt her heartbeat quicken its pace.

she smelt a minty breath as the older woman whispered, "go back to sleep,"

lisa lazily raises an eyebrow.

she was about to question the older but rosé cuts her off by squeezing her shoulder a bit too harshly.

"just listen to me, lay your head on my shoulder and sleep," rosé whispered again.

not wanting to get a harsh squeeze on her shoulder again, lisa laid her head on rosé shoulder and closed her eyes.

she can feel the older woman's breath on her cheek but she does not comment on it.

after what felt like forever, she felt rosé griping her wrist and pulling her up.

lisa quickly got on her feet and allowed the older woman to pull her out of the train. the train door closes and the train pulled out of the station.

once the train was out of sight, rosé released lisa's wrist and looked away.

thats when lisa realised that they were not at her stop.

"b-but this isn't my stop," lisa said. rosé turns to look at her before saying flatly, "this isn't my stop either," before looking away, to look at her watch.

"then why did you—"

"that guy was being a pervert so we had to get out of there quick, now stop complaining and just wait for the next train," rosé cut lisa off before the girl could finish her sentence.

lisa looks away after hearing the older's harsh tone.

this is their second encounter and lisa still does not know why the older was being rude to her.
