Combat

A/N: Thank you soooooo much for 300 reads!!! When I started this story I honestly thought that NOBODY would read this story. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! BTW, I would LOVE it is you would point out grammar mistakes to me. Just don't get all nazi on me.

*Omega*

Great. Just, great. Orion is in my next class, now I am going to have to put up with him as well as these scrawny campers.I kept ranting until they started coming in, there were about 30 (A/N Does that sound right?).

"Who wants to learn hand to hand combat?" about 5 hands went up. "Who wants to learn spear fighting?" about 10 hands. "Who wants to learn double wielding?" not many hands went up for this about 3 hands. "Who wants to learn knife throwing?" 20 hands. None were Orion.

I turned to him "Orion, I guess you dont want to learn anything then?"

"I already know everything." He answered cockily.

"Ok then." I said and walked away. I looked at everybody and they looked shocked. What, did they think that I would harass him until he got up and took the class? No, I'm going to let his actions speak for themselves.

"Everybody who wants to learn spear fighting go with Storm, everybody who wants to learn hand to hand combat go with Shadow, Knife throwing, come with me and double wielding, just sit. Remember everybody try new things because the more you know the more likely you are to survive in the war."

Everybody went to thier respective stations. We went outside. once we were in the clear and there was nothing arounnd I summmoned a bunch of targets. They all looked awed and I looked bored. "Is there anybody here who can do knife throwing?" Everybody just kinda looked at each other, until one timid, yet brave boy stepped up.

"I learnt for a little bit," he said shakily "Although, I'm afraid, I am not very good."

"That's okay," I said putting a bit of comfort into my voice "I just wanted to know. What's your name?"

"James, James Parker." He said, much more relaxed now.

"Everybody grab a knife and go to a target." everybody did as I said and when they were there I just taught them and walked around to show them how they should position themselves for a better throw. Once they were all throwing I went to James.

As I walked up to hime I saw that he was getting a bullseye every single time.

"Wow, James you have a gift."

"Thank you sir." he responded

"You dont have to be so formal James, just call me Omega" he just nods, totally immersed in his knife throwing.

"Everybody, stay here and practice, I will be back."

*Storm*

Me and my class went into the woods, I went to the clearing and conjured up a dozen spears. "Everybody find a partner and start sparring." as they started I walked around. There were a few who were in need of dire help but for the most part this lot was pretty good. They weren't amazing but against the worst fighter in my sqaud they would last at least an hour, which was pretty good. As I was walking I came to a pair at the very end who were really good. They were very intense but they didn't even break a sweat.

"You guys are very good, at least you're better than the last class," I said. "keep sparring and I will be back in a second."

*Shadow*

Me and my class just went a little farther down the beach. "Everybody, find a partner and spar." As I walked down and observed them, one thing was very clear: they had no clue how to wrestle. All they were trying to do was overpower their opponent.

"STOP!!!" I yelled. They all stopped and stared at me. "You guys are all just trying to overpower your opponent, the way to win a wrestling match is to use your opponent's strength against them. like so," I beckoned the biggest boy (who was most definetly one of Orion's lackeys) to come at me.

He grinned and charged. as he near closer, I sidestepped and he barreled past, right into a tree. He came back and threw some punches, all I did was avoid them until he punched a little close to my face. I grabbed his fist and threw him and threw him behind me, in the direction that his fist was going: straight into the water.

"See? Now go and spar again." They all went and they were doing much better. after aobut 10 minutes I said that I would be back soon and to keeep practicing.

I went back to where the double wielding kids were sitting. When I got there I saw Storm and shadow already there. "Okay kids we are going to learn double wielding. Does anyone in here have any idea what double wielding is?" nobody said anything. "Well, we will demonstrate." I summoned an arena and nodded at Storm and Shadow.

Storm got ready with her dagger and spear, lightning,. Shadow got ready with his sword, nightmare, and axe (A/N I know it's a bit strange but to me it fit). And I got ready with my dagger, wave, and whip. "GO!" I shouted and shadow immediatly bolted at me. He swunge his axe at my head and st the same time he used his sword to block a jab from Storm. I jumped out of the way and forced him to focus on Storm. I used the shadows and crept to the other side of the arena, from there I jumped out and lashed myh whip at Storm which she used her spear to barely deflect it and I sliced at Shadow. Shadow rolled out of the way and landed on his feet I knocked out Storm with a hard whip at her head. and rushed at Shadow. He got into a defensive stance and watched me approach warily. Just as I was coming to him a jumped behind him and knocked him out with the hilt of my dagger. I'm gonna have ot train him on surprise later. I thought. I healed them both.

I turned back to the class and they were looking at us with awe and admiration. "So now that you know what double wielding is, let's train." Everybody started to get up, excited to learn this new technique.

"The first step is to choose the weapons you want to choose. I suggest choosing one weapon that you are familiar with and one weapon that you don't know that well, and choosing opposite types of weapons, not just long and short range also maybe one with more finesse like a dagger and one thats more power and destruction like a hammer." once everybody got their weapon we trained them with dummies getting harder as they get better. We trained them hard until it was time for lunch.
