Asra had been waiting outside the cave, catching up with his parents. It'd been years since he last saw them, he was a child when they were taken away from him, courtesy of Lucio. And whilst Asra was happy to see them again, the anger building up inside him wouldn't calm down. Asra gave up half of who he was for Y/N, and yet inside the very cave he was waiting outside of, they were inside with the man who ruined his life.

Y/N didn't know what Lucio had done, what kind of person he was deep down inside. The Count's facade wouldn't keep up and Asra knew that, but that thought didn't lessen the pain of knowing the only person he'd ever loved was falling in love with the last person he'd want them to.

Asra pardoned himself from his parents and went inside the cave. Y/N laid unconscious with Lucio sat next to them, watching over them carefully. Asra stood there and didn't say a single word, just watching over Y/N. Lucio looked at Asra and smiled up at him.

"They're alive if that's what you're thinking about."

Is that the only thing Lucio could say? After pulling a stunt that could've killed Y/N. Again.

"Actually, I was thinking about how stupid you are for pulling the shit you did back there! They could've died!"

Asra wasn't yelling, but his tone was very pointed and Lucio could sense the anger dying to break free from the magician. At this, Lucio's smile disappeared as quickly as it came.

"Hey, hey, hey, you can blame me all you want, but they're still alive and, AND!  Your parents get to come back! It's a win-win situation here" He shrugged, causing Asra to get even angrier.

How could Lucio try to justify his actions like he had done something heroic? Like he had done finally done some good?

"That's not the point and you know it. If Y/N had died, their blood would've been on your hands again, Lucio. I let them slip away once and I won't let you take them away from me again."

Lucio was shocked to hear his 'not-really-friend' magician talk to him like that. Lucio stood up and walked closer to Asra.

"So, this is about Y/N, isn't it? They don't need to know what happened to them, what they don't know is that you fucked up my chance of getting a body for your own selfish needs" Lucio smirked, proud of himself for his comeback.

"You wanting a new body was selfish Lucio. You never cared about YOUR people dying until it was you lying in a bed coughing up blood!" Asra shot back. Lucio opened his mouth to speak but Asra quickly cut him off.

"It's always been about you! Everything you've ever done was for yourself and you didn't care who you hurt along the way, then you suddenly expect Y/N to forgive and forget what you did! I was a child when you took my parents from me, all because the arm they made wasn't unique enough for your liking, then the Devil came and took them and that's your fault!"

Lucio was stunned by Asra's passionate words but then lets out a low chuckle.

"Are you scared I'll do the same to them? That Y/N will make one wrong move and I'll have their head? Asra for once in my life I actually care about someone and regret the oopsies I've made that've lead me up to this point. But what you need to remember is that Y/N is their own person, who can decide for themselves who and what to love, even if that is a selfish childish Count." With each word Lucio spat at Asra, he got closer. "If they want you then they would come to you...but you're never there are you Asra? You leave them constantly."

"Once they know the truth they'll leave you. It's only a matter of time," Asra sounded more like he was trying to convince himself of that fact.

But what if Y/N never found out?

No. There will come a time and Asra will be there with open arms ready to tell Y/N that it's okay and that Lucio is the bad person he's always been.

Lucio averted his gaze at Asra's reminder. "I know that Asra, but a man can dream that Y/N will find it in their heart to forgive me."

Asra had never heard Lucio take such a soft tone.

"If they do, then that's their choice. But the rest of Versuvia will never forget who you really are, and what you've done. You didn't just make a deal with the Devil- you became our world's version of him, never forget that Lucio."

With each word, Asra had inched closer to Lucio, the poison truth hurting the Count more than he let on.

"Then so be it, but Asra, I can't take back the things I've done, but I can change, and if it took meeting Y/N to do it, then so be it. But it's better than what the Devil originally had planned. I saved you too, you just don't realise it yet."

Asra had to laugh at the statement. Lucio? Saving his life?

"Thanks, Lucio, but you're still not forgiven. I will never look at you and see a good man. I look at you and see a Count who wanted power and was willing to kill whoever he needed to in order to get it. I see a man with no heart, yet is willing to break someone who doesn't deserve it in order to feel something. Because you will hurt them, Lucio. You hurt everyone that comes into contact with you," Asra snapped at him. And without waiting for Lucio to reply, he began to walk away.

"We leave the moment they wake up. Better hope they don't remember the real you Lucio."

And without paying any further attention to the Count, Asra leaves the cave, wishing Y/N would wake up, and in his dreams, they leave with him.
