"Al... Al.... AL!"
"Huh? What!?"
"Wake up it's already six!"
"Shoot my papers!"
Here I am with only 5 hours of sleep, on a Monday. Can't get any worse than that. Thank god you woke me up before my paper's were crumpled though. Kudos to you pops.Quickly, I grabbed my phone from the footside of the bed where it charged all night long. No need to call me lucky having an outlet beside me all the time but it gets pretty handy.
One time, my foot touched the damn thing and got electrocuted at the middle of the night... good stuff. Relief swarmed through my veins as my phone showed: '5:00 A.M.' but also betrayal got the best of my mouth.
"Dad! Why the f-"
"Just get your butt out of bed already, it's literally Monday! You had the whole weekend to sleep through. What've you been doing last night? bla bla bla"That's what I heard when I stood from my bed that morning. I guess being that kind of person who loves Mondays is a burden. No offense Dad. "I'm still tired!" I said leading to a yawn as if my body tiredly agrees. Dad shook his head and went outside the room to ring up my mom.
A little 'Goodmorning greeting' never hurt anyone. We're currently living in another city for two reasons. One: My dad got a promotion from our previous town and Two: My mom planned that I would be studying here. Sure it's far away but we just moved to a new apartment and it has been a dream since the last one.
One word for it: Cramped. I hear him greeting my sister through the line as I grab my towel from my closet. Slouching, teary eyed Albey making his way to the bathroom still not giving a crap for the day.
I turned on the shower as the water dripped to the birds chirping from outside the walls as it was awfully quiet outside. OH GOD WHO SWITCHED THE SHOWER SETTING!! IT'S COLD AS FUUUU-
In our apartment that's were staying at the moment had three bedrooms. One for me, the other one is for my dad's, and the other room where our literal next door neighbor is staying. We share the same living room, kitchen, bathroom.
It's a 'she' and apparently she also moved here just to get a proper job and make ends meet with her family. It can get awkward at times especially when I'm the only one alone at our apartment and she comes home. The typical small talk sends shivers down my spine and I think she hates it too but other than that she's pretty cool and it's better than not having any company at all. Apart from the fact that she uses the shower and RESETS THE SETTING!!!!
5:45 A:M
The news was horrible this morning lotsa killings for some reason yet it seems like the best part to start of the day. Pumped up kicks has been my jam lately and I think it's been getting to me but who knows? "Your uncle ringed me earlier... Your aunt's been admitted to the ER." Well that was unexpected. So much for a good start of the day.
"The doctor's papers just came in this morning and her case is serious and needs medical attention from time to time. If possible you're gonna have to stay here alone for the night as they said there's a chance she won't make it." Tears welled up in my fathers eyes as this was serious business.
My aunt and I aren't really close since she lives overseas, when my Dad met my mom he permanently moved in with her so we mostly visit our relatives for the holidays. The look on my father's face to mine had already made an agreement. It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for my father and my family.
