after one last attempt to convince adora to join the horde, catra realises that adora's not coming back and she starts to question if adora had the right idea. luckily somebody's there to support her all the way

Catra stormed back into the Fright Zone, a foul look replacing her usually smirking features. "Hey Wildcat! How'd it go out there!?" Scorpia came jogging up beside her, being her usual bubbly self. "I've not got Adora...so how do you THINK!?" Catra started messing with her hair in frustration. "Awww, sorry 'bout that...it sucks to lose a friend. We've got each-other at least!" Scorpia gave Catra a bright smile.

Scorpia noticed the way Catra's tail started wagging lightly, that was just as good an answer for her. "So...we haven't got any missions today, let's hang out!" Scorpia exclaimed with excitement, making Catra roll her eyes. "Yeah. Sure. Whatever, I have nothing better to do" Scorpia's face lit up as they made their way to Scorpia's quarters.

Most people would look at the two and think it was unfair. Unfair on how Scorpia was treated in the 'friendship' but none knew the reason. They didn't know the reason why she stayed. Scorpia stayed because she could be herself around Catra, no matter how much people say Catra is a grumpy, revenge-driven feline, Scorpia knows that deep down inside of her is somebody whose just hurt. And she's determined to bring out the real Catra.

When they got to Scorpia's quarters, Catra made her way onto the bed and just sat cross-legged, you could tell she was deep in thought by the concentrated look on her face. "Have you seen Entrapta lately? I don't really see her anymore." Scorpia asked, sitting next to Catra on the bed. "Don't know. Don't care" Catra muttered, bringing her knees up to her chest and burying her face into her arms.

"Catra...what's up?" Scorpia put a claw on Catra's shoulder, Catra didn't pull away but instead just kept her head locked away. "I just-" Catra started, but stopped. Why should tell somebody her feelings when they could just betray her like...like Adora did. "Hey! It's okay!" Scorpia said reassuringly, the way she said it made Catra's heart beat wildly. "You can NOT tell anybody about this".

Catra turned to Scorpia with a glare, making the half-scorpion lady but her claws up in surrender. "There's nobody to really tell..." Scorpia sighed, looking away for a moment as she wiped her face from any loose tears. From the corner of her eye, Catra could see the pain in Scorpia's eyes. The pain of being alone, and Catra was surprised that Scorpia hadn't already joined the Rebellion, she certainly had the go-lucky energy for it.

"I just...Adora's not coming back. But I'm getting this, this feeling that maybe Adora was right" Catra's ears went down and Scorpia scooted closer, curious as to what Catra was on about. "What are you saying, Wildcat?" Scorpia asked, furrowing her eyebrows as she tried to read Catra's facial expressions.

A sigh came from the cat-girl, "Scorpia...do you really feel like you belong here?" This made Scorpia hesitate, she pulled back and stood up, walking backwards slowly. "I-I..." Scorpia stuttered out, and Catra got up with her, giving her a small smile for comfort, "No. I-I don't belong here, everybody's great and all but something's pulling me towards the princesses, maybe it's because I am a princess?".

Scorpia's head was full of jumbled thoughts as she felt like curling up into ball and just forgetting any of it ever happened. "We leave then" Catra bluntly said, making Scorpia jump in front of her with a shocked face. "What do you mean we leave!? We can't just LEAVE the Horde...where would we even go?" Scorpia was starting to panic but she stopped when she felt a hand on her pincer, "They'll let you join the Rebellion. Your a princess, all princesses are welcome in the Rebellion".

A soft, peaceful look was on Catra's face as she said it. 'What are you doing Catra?' her thoughts were screaming at her to stop but if leaving meant Scorpia could get a chance at the life she was meant for then so be it. "B-But Catra...you-".

"I know. They'll only let you with them, but that's good enough for me" Tears were now streaming down both of the girls faces, "Catra I can't leave you...your my best friend!" Scorpia argued, putting both her pincers around Catra in a tight hug as Catra grasped onto Scorpia's clothes.

Catra smiled at the words 'best-friend'. They didn't remind her of Adora anymore, there was a nice feeling that replaced the feeling of dread that she used to feel. "I'll probably be kept prisoner or something, so we won't be far away" Catra joked, making the both of them let out weak chuckles.

Both let go of each-other and just basked in the glory of silence. "So when do we leave...?" Scorpia asked, a frown on her face. It wasn't because she was un-grateful at being saved but it was the thought of her best-friend being locked away when she's the one who saved her. Catra didn't deserve all the hate she got, people just don't understand the reason she does what she does.

"Pack your things, and meet me at Corridor B in 10 minutes"

A/N: AWWWWW! Scorptra isn't really mah thing but just seeing all the posts on insta bout it made me wanna DOO ITTT! If you want more just comment.

Unpopular Opinion, Catra did actually care about Scorpia but she thought that being nice to her like she was to Adora (when they were friends) would mean Scorpia would leave her to. But that's just my theory lol, and you saw how distraught she was when Scorpia left and when DT absolutely EXPOSED her on everything she'd done wrong its just OH MY I'M RANTING LOL, sorry!

Stay safe, guys!
