Numbness is all i felt. My mind was blank, thinking of his question to me. He was so straight forward, his eyes studying my face for awhile.  He was  possibly lost with his own thoughts. Was i really thinking of marrying someone I don't know very well? If I was to accept, was i a fool to think that it is the right choice? Or should i say no, and think of another way.

" You do not have to accept this offer if you do not wish it jess. It is a possiblity to save me cause within the laws of the Council they can't harm anyone who is married for turning a vampire. Its like an oath they have always stood by. " Silence fell fast. It was as if time itself stood still.

I hung my head, letting out a sigh.
" Is there any other way?" Simon shook his head no. His muscles tight. I could tell he was nervous of the Council and the effect it leaves on people. I believe that we need to fight not just Sit around and do nothing.           "The only thing to do is to pack and leave. You are not safe as long as you are around me. "  My heart  was aching  so bad. I wanted to say something to him. But i could not bring myself to say it.
Why was I hesitating? This man was going to leave to protect me and himself and i just say nothing? I knew now was the time to speak.   " Simon, wait.  I have been thinking about what you said and i want to help you. But marrying you is to much for me." Simon nodded, grabbing me by my hand.
" Its understandable jess. I do not expect you to openly say yes.  Please though think about it more." looking into his eyes I suddenly froze with fear. " what about my mom? I can tell she knows something is off with me. I can't keep lying to her. "  pushing away tears, i tried to just let this emotion pass.  Simon grabbed my hand again.
" Then let's do that part together the sooner they know what's going on with you the better." His smile gave me some confidence.  And just like that, together we headed towards the house.
