The little girl sat at the edge of the street crying. The cold rain pouring down on her. She was guaranteed a cold later.
She was there because of a heartless woman. The little girl was just asking her mom for food, anything to make the hunger that'd built up the last 5 days go away.
She knew better than to bother her mom when her male friends were around, but the feeling in her stomach was painful and just begged for a bite. She bravely went up to her mom and saw her straddling a man's lap with her lips attached to his face. She tugged at her arm.
She watched as her mom detached her lips from the mans. Her mom slowly turned her head and looked at the girl with disgust. "What is so goddamn important that you had to interrupt me?"Her mom spat "You know what I told you last time."
"I-" Tears welled up in the girl's big emerald eyes. "I was just wondering if I could get some food. I'm starving." She looked down at her shoes, swaying a little.
She was thinking how dumb she was to interrupt the woman she called mom because last time she hit her and locked her in her room for days. The only thing kept her sane was the teddy bear her dad gave her before he passed away. She always kept it hidden from her mom, scared she will take it away.
"You interrupted me for that? You selfish excuse of a daughter!" The woman yelled, grabbing the little kid. "I will be right back." The woman gave the man in the chair one last quick kiss.
The woman then got up and dragged the small kid through the living room, though the front door, towards the old beaten up car, she then threw her child into the back seat of the car. The springs of the old weathered seat, poked into the kid's spine. She sat up trying to get comfortable in the old tattered seat. Her mom slammed the door, went around the car, and got into the front seat.
"M-mom" The little kid stuttered with fear lacing her voice. "Where are we going?"
"Shut up!" The mom yelled, speeding off down the road, as it started raining.
The kid sniffled, trying not to cry. She was scared out of her mind wondering where her mom was going to take her. She also thought about the small teddy bear that was left at the house. What was she going to do without it?
What felt like hours later, the car stopped. The little kid looked out the window to see where they were.
All she saw was a bunch of trees surrounding them. What are we doing here?
Suddenly she was getting yanked out of the car by her mother. When did she get out of the car? Her mother threw her onto the muddy and scratchy road, wet from the pouring rain. She was immediately soaked by the cold water that was puddling into a small gash in the road. She wasn't wearing anything but a little pink flower sundress.
"Don't come back!" The mother looked down at her pathetic child struggling to stand up. "I don't want you anymore. You could die out here for all I care.  All you are is an annoying little brat that only knows how to cry and whine. I should have done this years ago."
With that, the little girl watched as the woman she once called "mom" get into her car, wiping the mud from her black stilettos.
The car then roared to life as her mom sped off, splashing mud onto the small girl.
The girl watched the car disappear into the distance. She then slowly got up and stumbled to the side of the road where she laid curled up into a tiny ball. Her tears streamed down her face as she cried her heart out.
As cars pass by her either ignoring her or just not seeing her, the little girl is shivering from head-to-toe. I'm gonna die out here. She then drifts off to sleep.

I'm gonna start putting questions at the end of chapters and stuff like that.

Question- What's your favorite type of ice cream? Mine is Chocolate Chip Cookie dough.

Also, Give me constructive criticism. I can always use help improving my writing. It's okay, my ego can take it.
