Narrator POV
The four anxiously sat on the bus, watching the small passing figures of people passing, the luminescence of small fairy lights that hung all down the sidewalks, and the busy nightlife surrounding them.
"We're so gonna make it." Kevin mentions as he checks his phone for the time. 6:23 pm
"Yeah, well don't speak too soon, we're barely even there yet." Y/N reminds him.
"Yeah, but it isn't even 6:30 and we still have more than an hour to get ready and go through a small soundcheck." He answered back.
"Okay whatever."
"Guys..." Josh said staring out the window.
"You guys..." He repeats, starting the slap Kevin.
"I think we're going the wrong way!" He shouted. The three looked frantically out the window, stress radiating from their skin, and panic in their voices.
"How could this have happened?!" Wendy sunk into her seat.
"Kevin! You said this was the right bus!" Y/N turned to face the boy.
"It is! I thought it was! Google even said it was!" He defended.
"Yeah well now, we're going to be late, and Tiffany is so going to kill us!" Y/N continued.
"Guys..." They turned to Josh, his expression was anything but stressed, or worried... it was more amusing.
"I was just kidding." They looked at him in utter disbelief.
"WHAT?!" The shock was still lingering.
"Yeah. You guys seemed so uptight, you needed something to... ease yourselves before later." He explained.
"Okay, you got us good this time." Wendy said.
"Yup, that got us." Kevin stated.
"Looks like this is our stop." Y/N told them as the bus came to a stop. They stepped off the bus, looking for which way they should head.
"The hotel's this way." Y/N pointed.
"How do you know?" Kevin asks as she'd already started walking.
"This was the cafe we went to this morning for coffee." They looked to the familiar shop and followed towards the hotel. As they rush into the lobby, and head towards the elevator, a familiar, cheery voice calls out to them.
"There you guys are! We thought you wouldn't make it." Their manager, Tiffany called out to them.
"Just a minor delay, but here we are." Wendy covers.
"Okay well, you have an hour to relax and prepare for later. Are you guys excited?" They walked to the elevators.
"Yup, but it isn't like this is our first time. I'm more nervous for the charity event." Y/N said, Tiffany nodded and returned a smile.
