"Hi can I sit here?" - a girl asked refering to the seat beside me."Of course." - I smiled tightly.
My first day at university and I was extremely bored. I was all alone here. Sitting at the corner of the classroom, I waited for the professor to come.
"I'm Ella. What about you?" - Ella asked.
"Tasha." - I told her.
It was extremely hot today and I had no intention to talk to anyone. Fortunately the professor showed up after that.
Four hours, three periods and one off period latter I was walking home. Alone...
'Ohh come on Tasha, you're acting like a sixty years old moody lady. You didn't talk to that Ella girl remember?' - I asked myself. I'd like to continue my conversation with myself but when I saw people giving me second glances I stopped.
I bought some fresh vegetables from the vendor, some noodles, eggs, bread and butter from the nearby small shop.
I made noodles tonight with vegetables and eggs and clicked a picture for my insta story.
"You're so mean Tasha." - Leena complained because I mentioned her on my story. She absolutely loved vegetable noodles.
"Sorry babes."- I laughed shaking my head. "I miss you Leens."- I told her.
"I miss you too Tasha." - she sighed. We both remained silent for sometimes.
I closed my eyes and leaned my head against the hardboard. I cleared my throat - "Hey I saw Ashish's post yesterday. He likes you."
"I know but this is impossible. Abba will kick me out."- she forced laughed.
"Atleast don't do that in front of me." - I said to her.
"What?" - She asked.
"That fake laugh of yours." - I told her. Did she honestly think she can fool me?
"Tasha stop it. Now tell me about yourself. Is everything fine there?" - she asked.
"Don't know Leens. I don't like going university all alone. This sucks.." -
"All alone? Today was you first day Tasha. Give some time, every thing will be alright." - She said. She was so optimistic.
"Someone tried to talk to me ya know but .."
"But? But you didn't?"- She asked cutting me off. I rolled my eyes. "Why?" - she asked again.
"Ahh I was pissed. It was so hot today like I never experienced before. I hate being sweaty with all my hair sticking everywhere on my face and neck. Do you think I should cut my hair?" - I asked her touching my hair in the process.
"You'll never do that Tasha. You love your hair way too much." - she chuckled. "I know you too Dumbo. I know you're feeling guilty now for not talking to that person today. Am I right?" - She asked.
"Right. Now you go away I want to sleep." - I told her embarrassed. She chuckled again. Ugh this girl...
"Goodnight Dumbo."
"Goodnight Leens." - I hung up. I closed my eyes smiling.
Next five days drained all energy out of me. I made new friends though, Ella being one of them.
Saturday morning, I opened my eyes with a big smile on my face. I was eagerly waiting for this day to come. My first day at culinary school.
I woke up at 7 AM and showered for almost 30 minutes. I did my morning skin care routine for another 15 minutes, applied sunscreen, used my favourite strawberry lipbalm, double coated mascara over my eyelashes and last but not the least used some loose powder.
