Elizabeth was sitting by herself that night on the staircase she had seen Eren, Mikasa and Armin just a few nights prior. She wasn't hungry so had skipped dinner.
Her mind had been running over what had happened that day, yet it all seemed to be a blur. The brunette was still in shock that her words had been the final say over what happened to Eren.
"Elizabeth Erickson." She turned around when she heard her name and was surprised to see Captain Levi. His expression was as blank as ever, which made him quite intimidating.she turned back around and looked over the city that resided under the stone staircase she sat on.
She listened as the captain walked over and sat next to her, surprising her. She looked back over to him, yet he wasn't looking at her. "The commander wanted me to get you so he could personally thank you for what you said today." He told her. She nodded, and once again looked back out,
"I only told them the truth." She told him black-haired man next to her, putting her hand on the ground behind her and leaning her weight on it,
"What you said saved your friend's life. Unlike Mikasa, or Dok or even those pigs, you spoke about his character without letting your personal relationship with him cloud that judgment." Elizabeth didn't respond. She knew what she was doing when she spoke, it was something her father had taught her. "I'm impressed to say the least. Not many people can do that." At the man's words Elizabeth turned to him with wide eyes. "Given the current situation I'm guessing you'll be joining the scouts." He looked over to her with a bored expression,
"I've wanted to be a scout since I was a little girl. My sister always told me it was a childish dream but my father encouraged it. He never doubted me." She told Levi, who's expression never changed,
"I worked with him quite a bit when I was your age, just before he retired. Good man, great soldier." He told Elizabeth before standing, causing her to look up at him. "Let's go. There're people waiting on us." Elizabeth nodded and stood following him as they walked to a courtyard with a handful of scouts, Erwin and Eren.
As soon as Eren saw her, he ran up to her and engulfed her into a hug. She quickly wrapped her arms around him and pressed her head into his shoulder,
"I'm glad you're okay." She mumbled, a smile appearing on her pink lips,
"Thanks to you and the scouts." She chuckled lightly and pulled away. Elizabeth looked up at Eren, since he was a head taller than her. Before Eren or Elizabeth could say anything else, Erwin cleated his throat as he approached the pair. Elizabeth turned to him and saluted him, but he gestured for her to relax.
"I want you to know we are great full for what you said today, Elizabeth." The tall blonde man told her, causing her to nod. "I assume you'll be joining the scouts and following in your father's footsteps."
"Yes sir. " Erwin smiled, and put a hand on her shoulder,
"I have no doubt that you'll be as great as your father was." With that, he removed his hand and left her with Eren again. Levi walked off with Erwin, both who met with Hanji, a auburn haired woman who wore glasses. She was taller than Levi, but shorter than Erwin by at least a head.
"Reports show that she took down three titans by herself during the battle of Trost." Hanji spoke. Her eyes gleamed in admiration for such a talented young soldier, "ranked top of the hunted and forth cadet corps as well. Her father would be proud."
Hanji had also known her father, when he was a part of the scouts, she had been apart of his squad for a few years as well.
"What do you think, Levi?" Erwin asked the young captain. Levi looked up at his commander,
