Mollie

This past week went by smoother than I had anticipated. I was nervous about starting classes of course, but I was very adamant on being ahead of the assignments and memorized all of the syllabi that had been passed out in my various courses. My planner was filled with all the homework, quizzes, projects, and exams that had been posted by my professors; each class having their own color. Elizabeth actually had two classes with me since she was majoring in biochemistry and I was majoring in biology. Josie ate lunch with us and shared some gen-ed courses with us, so we studied together everyday.

Professor Thomas was busy with his lectures and teaching, so we ate dinner together and I told him about my day before we went to bed. I got to see him in classes and at home, but other than that I didn't see him too much. I guess I didn't really mind, but some days he would look bothered. His bright blue eyes looked tired and his reserved attitude kept him even more closed off than normal. I wanted to ask him what was wrong, but changed my mind when he dismissed me from dinner Wednesday night.

Mr. Thomas had told me that it was okay for me to spend time with Elizabeth and Josie at the library since we worked on homework together. He was even alright with me staying the night in their dorm tonight. They were living in Rose Hall, the all girls dormitory. I couldn't help but notice how his jaw unclenched when I shared that detail with him.

Lord, I didn't know how he would react if I got caught for going out with the girls tonight. Elizabeth, being the fireball she was, somehow managed to coerce me into going to the 'Back to School Bash' that was going on tonight. I knew that was just an excuse to get drunk and whatever else partying entails, but she wouldn't take 'no' for an answer. She's more persistent than a child that had to go Black Friday Shopping with their mother, and trust me I had to before. I managed to say no after the second trip and stayed home with Dreven.

It was getting close to nine o'clock at night and that's when the parties were supposed to start. Elizabeth informed me that no one showed up on time to them, so we didn't need to leave until half an hour passed then. I was able to convince Mr. Thomas to let me spend the night with her because the three of us needed to 'study for an exam for our advanced calculus course'. I didn't like lying to him, but I couldn't exactly tell the girls who I lived with, and if I brought my parents up, that would just be fueling more lies.

I pushed the intrusive thoughts away as Elizabeth finished applying the smokey eyeshadow to my eyelids. I wore makeup more conservatively but tonight was a special occasion apparently. I insisted on a natural look and some lip gloss but she was 'running the roost' and told me to 'sit down and stay still'.

"Perfect," she cheered as the makeup brush left my skin. I spun around to look in the mirror, and I was impressed with the reflection looking back at me. My skin was glowing and alive from the highlighter and blush applied to my cheeks. My normally flat hair was fixed in voluminous curls, making my chocolate locks flare out. It was like I was a different person.

Surprisingly, I packed the outfit I bought last weekend in my overnight bag so I could wear it tonight. Josie gave me some tips on what to wear and offered me some of her clothes if I couldn't find anything. The black lace romper fit my figure nicely, and the plunging v-neckline rested a few inches below my breasts. I wore black, strappy heels and the matching black choker. This was definitely the most revealing outfit I've ever worn but the girls approved, telling me how 'hot I look' and 'I'll have the boys begging tonight'. I wonder what he would think about my outfit if he saw me.

Soon enough, both of the girls were ready to go and we walked down stairs to leave their dorm. It was nice that they were roommates, and we could hangout more conveniently. We made our way down the sidewalk to our destination. It was one of the satellite houses for a fraternity owned by the campus. Apparently it was called 'Five Guys' like the restaurant because five guys lived there. How original. The house was booming while people pushed inside, and others stood on the front lawn. Some guys were sitting on the porch and on the roof, while couples made out on the porch.
