Josh:
None of them are really attached to their phones but I think Josh in particular is a lot less likely to have his phone on him all the time so I don't think he'd send as many texts. He'd more likely call you once in a while and just completely off load about everything he's seen and places they've been. I think he'd still manage to send you the occasional photo though. But being the very precise cinematographer, he is, it'd be the perfect shot, and he'd send it to you mostly because he was so proud to have taken the photo in the first place.
Jake:
I think Jakey is definitely more of a call kinda person, especially if he missed you he'd definitely want to at least hear your voice if not video call you. When he does he likes you to do the majority of the talking, it's like he absorbs your voice and all of a sudden he's there with you. When he texts its usually just for information, occasionally because he thought of a dad joke. (I get the feeling Jake doesn't 'joke' a lot, but when he does it's dad jokes)
Sammy:
Sammy sends you photos or video messages most. He's less of a talker, or even texter. He likes to make his messages a bit more textured (if that's a thing) he tries to get what he's experiencing over to you as best as possible, so visually is usually the way. But call or text wise he probably texts more. It's just easier, especially if they're on the move, he can't always be on the phone but he might be able to reply to a text.
Danny:
Quite opposite to Sam I think Danny probably sends you photos and things the least, unless its something one of the other guys filmed or something he filmed them doing. Like 'Hey Babe look at what Josh did!' and its just like a film of him running into a tree or something. I think Danny likes to be close to you with words and its easier to reply faster with words as well. Like Jake he likes to hear your voice, but he's also good wit texting because he can go back and read your words again.
