Hiro Hamada.

The name of a boy that would always seem to get under your skin.

Some people may think he's incredible. I mean, he pretty much has it all— a large (and very supporting) friend group, quirkiness... intelligence. Heck, he's in his third year of college at age 16.

The only (and major problem) was his cockiness. He has absolutely no manners, and was quite the handful. His friends say he's the sweetest, but their claims don't sit quite right with you. Throughout your high school and college years, he hasn't been as nice as they describe him.

Let's just say you weren't the happiest when you realized he was attending San Fransokyo Institute of Technology (the name is quite the mouthful, don't you think?).

You sigh before walking into your first class, chemistry. It was the only class you had that Hiro wasn't in (thank goodness), and you always try to relish the feeling of his absence.

Your desk partner, Honey Lemon, greets you as you walk in.

"Oh, Y/N, you're here!" She chirps. "Look at my new recipe!"

Honey Lemon pulls out a bowl, seemingly filled with what looks like boiling hot water.

"You made... water?" You ask. She chuckles.

"No no no, it's my new recipe for instant ice!" She claps her hands together.

"Isn't the result of your last recipe the reason why you're staying in Go Go's apartment?" You laugh.

"That's... correct, but I perfected it from last time. Now it's absolutely foolproof!" She exclaims.

Honey Lemon was known for being optimistic and friendly, and you love her for that. Some think of her as a nuisance, but you adore her positive attitude. Of course, it could just be the fact that you've only befriended the worst people anyone could ever meet, so any bit of kindness you receive is always treasured. Great job, you.

"Hey, Y/N, watch this!" Honey Lemon squeals.

She proceeds to pour water into the liquid, which instantly solidifies into ice. You, not knowing anything about basic chemistry, stare at the process in awe.

"Wow. That's sick." You say, sincerely amazed at Honey Lemon's concoction.

"Thanks! Nitrogen is amazing, isn't it?"

"Nitrogen?" You ask. Honey Lemon nods. "Oh. I seriously thought it was boiling water."

"Really?" She chuckles.
