"It's a spaceship. Brilliant! I got a spaceship on my first go." Mickey said in excitement as the group walked out of the tardis. Estella was in awe of the metal ship they had travelled too. She looked at the doctor in amazement, "When Sarah told me you had a spaceship i didn't believe her. This is amazing." She said, even though the place looked in disarray. The Doctor looked over at Estella, every time he did his hearts beat wildly in his chest. What he wouldn't give to kiss those glossy red lips.
"It looks kind of abandoned. Anyone on board?" Rose asked, after rolling her eyes at the young blonde. She understood why the doctor offered Sarah to come but Estella? No clue."Nah, nothing here. Well, nothing dangerous. Well, not that dangerous. You know what, I'll just have a quick scan, in case there's anything dangerous." The Doctor replied, he decided with his Soulmate on board he best be safe. She was only human and he needed to protect her at all costs. "So, what's the date? How far we gone?" Rose aimed at the Doctor, completely ignoring Estella's presence.
"About three thousand years into your future, give or take." He said. Estella let out a deep breath. She couldn't help but wonder if her family members were still alive. If they were they would be coming on for Four thousand years old. The doctor found a light switch which opened the ceiling overhead, revealing the stars.
"Wow." Estella whispered to herself, causing the doctor to smile down at her. "Fifty first century. Diagmar Cluster, you're a long way from home. Two and a half galaxies." The doctor said to the two new companions.
"Mickey Smith, meet the universe. See anything you like?" Rose said to her ex. Estella frowned, she couldn't understand why Rose disliked her so much. She wasn't her to date the Doctor, she was here to see the stars. Or so she liked to tell herself. The young girl couldn't understand how he'd managed to get her to like him so much when they had only known each other for a matter of 3 days.
"It's so realistic!" Mickey breathed in disbelief. Estella smiled at the young man. He was sweet.
"Dear me, had some cowboys in here. Got a ton of repair work going on. Now that's odd. Look at that. All the warp engines are going. Full capacity. There's enough power running through this ship to punch a hole in the universe, but we're not moving. So where's all that power going?" The doctor wondered allowed, letting his thoughts be heard by his companions.
"Where'd all the crew go?" Rose asked. "Good question. No life readings on board." The doctor replied. Estella frowned. For in the distance, with her wolf ears, she could hear a heart pounding. It was extremely loud. Someone had to be on this ship, so how where there no life readings?
"Well, we're in deep space. They didn't just nip out for a quick fag." Rose fired back at him. "No, I've checked all the smoking pods. Can you smell that?" The doctor sniffed.
"Yeah, someone's cooking." Estella replied, yet something about it smelt off to the girl. "Sunday roast, definitely."Mickey said.
As mickey said that the Doctor used the large console to open the door behind them. Looking into the room Estella saw the most beautiful fireplace that reminded her of her fathers old manor in London. One her personal favourite Mikealson manors, which was wear she was currently stay. Well before she began travelling with the doctor. "Well, there's something you don't see in your average spaceship. Eighteenth century. French. Nice mantle. Not a hologram. It's not even a reproduction. This actually is an eighteenth century French fireplace. Double sided. There's another room through there." The doctor said."There can't be. That's the outer hull of the ship. Look." Rose said looking out a porthole.
"Hello." Estella said, looking at a young blonde girl in her nightgown. Causing the Doctor to bend down alongside her and look into the fireplace. "Hello." The young girl replied.
"What's your name?" The doctor asked in a soft tone.
"Reinette." The blonde replied to him. Looking at the two in confusion. "Reinette, that's a lovely name. Can you tell me where you are at the moment, Reinette?" Estella asked the little girl.
"In my bedroom." She replied confusion laced in her tone. "And where's your bedroom? Where do you live, Reinette?" Doctor asked, trying to establish where the fireplace was connected to.
"Paris, of course." She replied, looking at the Doctor like he was an imbecile. "Paris, right!" He replied.
"Monsieur, what are you doing in my fireplace?" Reinette asked him.
"Oh, it's just a routine fire check. Can you tell me what year it is?" He asked her.
"Of course I can. Seventeen hundred and twenty seven." She replied with a little smile on her face.
"Right, lovely. One of my favourites. August is rubbish though. Stay indoors. Okay, that's all for now. Thanks for your help. Hope you enjoy the rest of the fire. Night, night."
"Goodnight Monsieur." She said."You said this was the fifty first century." Mickey said when they all stood away from the fireplace. "I also said this ship was generating enough power to punch a hole in the universe. I think we just found the hole. Must be a spatio-temporal hyperlink." The Doctor explained to the group. He noticed his mate seemed to be quiet. But he loved hearing her voice. "What's that?" Estella asked.
"No idea. Just made it up. Didn't want to say magic door." The doctor replied to her.
Rose asked, ignoring Estella once more, "And on the other side of the magic door is France in 1727?"
"Well, she was speaking French. Right period French, too." The doctor replied back to her."She was speaking English, I heard her." Mickey denied.
"that's the Tardis. Translates for you." Rose replied back to him. "Even French?" He asked her.
The doctor suddenly walked over to the Fireplace, "Gotcha!" He said triumphantly, as the fireplace swivelled around. "Doctor!" Estella and Rose called out in worry.
"Doctor!" Rose exclaimed as he arrived back with some sort of robot dressed in French clothing. The doctor grabs a tube from a rack and fires the contents over the andriod. Causing it to freeze. " Excellent. Ice gun." Mickey said in glee.
"Fire extinguisher." Estella replied simply, the doctor smiling at her as she did.
"Where did that thing come from?" Rose asked, drawing the Doctor's attention to her.
"Here." He replied simply.
"So why is it dressed like that?" Mickey asked in confusion. "Field trip to France. Some kind of basic camouflage protocol. Nice needlework, shame about the face." The doctor said, removing the face to reveal a clock looking machine. "Oh, you are beautiful! No, really, you are. You're gorgeous! Look at that. Space age clockwork, I love it. I've got chills! Listen, seriously, I mean this from the heart, and, by the way, count those, it would be a crime, it would be an act of vandalism to disassemble you. But that won't stop me." Suddenly the creature, robot thing teleported away from the Doctor. "Short range teleport. Can't have got far. Could still be on board."
"What is it?" Rose asked in bewilderment."Don't go looking for it!" The doctor said point at the two, Grabbing Estella's arm as he walked over to the fireplace. "Ella you're coming with me."
"Where're you going?" Rose asked in jealously. Why did this new girl get to go with Her Doctor and since when did her call her ella. At the same time Rose questioned where they were off too Estella looked at the doctor in shock "Ella?"
"Back in a sec." The Doctor said simply as he pressed the button on the fireplace.
