The Tunnel

The leaves rustled as the moon shone upon the path between the canopy trees in a forest adjacent to Camp Red Arrow. Camp Red Arrow is known for various sport activities. Zach, Leo, Andella and Natasha have spent their last two summers here. They are junior agents of a highly confidential spy agency. Last summer was quiet an adventure for them. Little did they know that this summer was going to be no less

'Did you guys hear that?' whispered Natasha.
'We are in the woods at midnight. Isn't it normal to hear spooky voices?' Leo whispered back, his temper raising.
'Leo, chill. Nat, concentrate.' reminds Andella.
The four of them, including Zach, are searching for hideouts for the upcoming game of capture the flag.
'We have a week to look for hideouts! This is just a waste of time and energy!' Leo exclaimed 'right buddy?' he turns to his left. 'Zach?'
Zach is nowhere to be seen.
'Leo! Shhhhhh.....' starts Andella 'you will wake the bears and.....' Leo interrupts her.
'Zach isn't here'
'What?!'
'He isn't here'
'Zacharias Scott! This is not the time to play games like these. Are you out of....' Leo cuts in.
'I don't think he is playing a game with...' before Leo could finish, they heard a growl from a mile away. Without second thoughts, they ran for their lives. They had no idea where they were going or whats going to happen.
After ten minutes of continues sprinting, they reached a tunnel. They were all exhausted and were wheezing their lungs out. They leaned against the wall and sighed, still trying to catch their breath.
'Nat! What in the world were you thinking?! You woke the bear and....' started Andella.
'I'm sorry but that's not what matters now' Nat turns to face Leo 'what did you mean? You don't think Zach's playing with us?' her eyes fill with tears.
'No' Leo replied bluntly and he turns away.
Suddenly, they hear a scream. It's Andella. Natasha rushes towards her and turns to look at what Andella is starting at with bulging eyes and open mouth. She gasps, unable to move.
Zach's dead body is lying on the ground, covered with wounds. He was bled to death.
The two girls turn back to face Leo. His expression is plain. Then he smirks and his laugh echoes through the Tunnel.

Zach jolts wake. He is paralysed to the spot. He sits still on his bed, trying to calm his breath.
