Morning, it was time to get ready. There was no school even though it was a Monday. I believe it was some sort of a teacher learning day or something of the sorts and so all classes were cancelled for the day. Anyways, I was in the living room, waking up from my insufficient amount of sleep, went up stairs, brushed my teeth, came back down and found something off. Mom wasn't in the kitchen.

'She would usually be up and making breakfast by now...'

I walked into the kitchen examining the situation when I saw my brother descending down the stairs.

"Morning Reno," he said lazily. I replied no less tired.

"Where's mom?"

"Dunno."

He dragged is much tired legs to the dining table where he found a small yellow sticky note.

'Urgent work came up. I'll be out with your father on a business trip for around two weeks. I left some money on the study table desk and some food in the fridge. Be good boys and take care! Love you -Mom'

"The heck- What urgent business trip?," I grumbled throwing a glance at my unfazed brother.

He translated the message in his groggy monotone voice.

"Urgent business trip definitely means they want some romantic alone time."

I sighed. My parents, I can never understand what they think. Sometimes they are super strict with life then other times just... so annoyingly carefree. I just ignored the situation since it has occurred almost three times now in approximately five months.

"Where's Tsuji?" I asked.

"Sleeping."

"Well then...who's making breakfast?" I asked opening the fridge, only finding heavy meals inside.

"You," replied my stupid brother, taking the car keys while walking towards the main door.

"Wha- WHAT THE HELL! NO! AND WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!"

"Out?" He replied looking back and smirking. He, then quickly exited the house without giving me a second chance to reply.

I sighed heavily. I knew there was no point in grumbling over this situation since it wasn't going to get any better. For the most part, I had a feeling in my gut, more trouble was awaiting.

I reopened the fridge door, took I out some vegetables and then started to wash them. I, then chopped them up and stopped.

"What should I make? Soup? Noodles? Um..I think soup would be good."

That's when I found a pair of arms wrapping themselves around my waist and a warm body leaning itself onto my back, giving me a back hug.

"It's not funny Tsuji," I complained lazily.

The person roughly pulled me closer, slowing moving their hands up my shirt.

He whispered, "Sorry, but I'm not Tsuji," while resting his chin on my shoulder.

A small shiver ran down my spine as his warmth started to touch me.

"It's not funny Hanase," I replied trying to keep my composure on his actions.

"Yeah yeah," he said retreating his hands out of my shirt but still not letting me out of the hugging position.

"Anyways good morning," I started, changing the topic.

"Morning to you too."

"By the way, how'dya brush your teeth?"

"How do you know?"

"Your breath smells like peppermint."

"I bought my brush with me."

"Why the hell-" I turned back and found his face really close to mine, lips just inch away. His eyes staring straight into mine, slowly moving towards me. His breath hit my lips as I closed my eyes, waiting for my lips to fall onto mine.

"RENOOOO! YOU UP YEEET?!"

'Oh hell no.'

I quickly turned back, pushing Hanase away and started chopping up the veggies again.

'Why does everyone is this world have to frickin' interrupt such moments!'

I glared at the boy as he entered the room.

"Go die." I smiled, Taking my anger on the veggies

"EH?"

Tsuji stood there tearing up, totally dumbstruck.

"What are you? A baby?" I asked giving off a little sigh as I left the veggies and walked toward Tsuji to give him a hug. As I was about to hug him, something pulled me back.

".....!?"
