"You're fired!" the plump manager yelled.
"Please, let me exp-" The twenty-something year old however, was not leaving. His life practically depended on this job, after being fired from around four others.
"GET THE HELL OUT OF MY STORE!" Mr. Dankert screamed, turning red. The man's face looked like it was on fire and his ginger beard, that he obviously dyed, didn't help. His screech attracted the attention of the few customers that were out this late at night. Embarrassment and shame etched on the poor boy's face, he took off his apron and left the store. Dankert turned and addressed the shoppers, the red now subsiding from his neck and the scowl he wore "Well? What are you lot lookin' at?" The bystanders scrambled, wanting not to fall victim to the old coot's rage.
Outside, the young adult walked back home, his jacket hood pulled up to block the cold breeze. That was the worst reason to fire somebody, he thought to himself. No wonder nobody wants to work at that store. That old hag is terrible, with his dyed beard and crooked teeth. Maybe I should just interview at that place Leila and Mom have been bugging me about. He rounded the corner and saw his house. Correction, parent's house, he thought. It was a cozy, blue, two-storey home with a black door. Going up the steps, he unlocked the door and entered the home.
"Alexander! You're home early, what happened?" his mother's voice questioned from the kitchen.
"Oh nothing, just got fired again for the most petty reason," Alexander flopped down on the couch and closed his green-grey eyes.
Lee's mother walked into the living room. Jenna was tall, had a small frame, long grey-brown hair that she kept in a bun at the base of her neck and smooth facial features. Her warm hazel eyes contrasted well with her ivory beige complexion. "I'm sorry to hear about that Lee. You really should try to work at that place Leila tells me about. That one company- oh I keep forgetting the name-"
"Lenarka."
"Yes! You should interview there. You qualify for that-"
"I might just," Lee mumbles. His mother keeps talking about the position at Lenarka and soon disappears. Lee opens his eyes and goes upstairs to his room.
First chapter! The image above is how I picture our protagonist Alexander Lee Bundt. Honestly, I have no clue what I wrote. Anyways, hope you like it!
