Tsukishima's pov

I strode through the halls towards my desk at an average pace, it was a little earlier than my usual arrival time because I wanted to make a good impression on the new boss for my section of the office. The previous woman had just retired so they sent in someone from a different building, and so everyone in the office was tense.

I'd heard people discussing it on my way out yesterday. Would they be mean, or too strict, or unforgiving when someone made a mistake filing in a report?  That would not matter to me, as long as they were efficient and didn't disturb the calm work environment. But, immediately I was let down by the bustle coming from the around the next corner, my office quarter was immersed into some sort of welcoming party, with loud giggles and smiles all around. I groaned inwardly, why can't everyone just work peacefully and, more importantly, quietly.

My breath suddenly caught when I spotted, from afar, a tall, handsome fellow with jet black spiky hair that covered half of his gorgeous face. He was surrounded by a sea of every female coworker I had met and even a few I didn't know. I watched him wink at one of them, then turn when his upper arm was caressed sensually by another, he gave them all a sexy smirk and continued talking.

At that moment my nerves about having to comply with a new boss immediately dissipated as I lost most of my respect for the shameless flirt. I rolled my eyes and sped to my, thankfully, separate office, muttering 'excuse me' and 'pardon' as I pushed my way through the crowd of ladies. I passed the undeniably attractive man, who was presumably the new boss, though I hoped he wasn't because by the looks of every girl in that cluster, he'd be leaving a trail of broken hearts behind him. From the corner of my eye I caught him staring at me, probably because I seem to be the first guy that came near him.

"Don't worry sir, I'm not coming to flirt with you or any of your entourage, just making my way to my desk, so make sure your ego can still fit through the door frame." I mumbled sarcastically to myself as I broke free of the crowd. Biting my lip to suppress a laugh as I looked at the woman next to me who had heard my comment, I rushed to the door and quickly stepped inside and almost gasped at the sight. Papers, everywhere, folders flung open and photos littered the floor. I sighed and recognised everything after taking a closer look, the papers and pictures were from one of one of our latest cases investigating a local gang that was dealing illegal substances, personally I thought it to be one of the more interesting cases we've dealt with as we usually sort out simple robberies or trespassing. I began picking up the papers and neatly organising them on the other desk in the room which would soon have its own occupant. I didn't pick up his papers out of kindness, no, I did it because I can't focus when the room looks chaotic, which is why I am so grateful that my workspace is no longer out there, in a maze of cubicles that never end.

Folders filled with the photos that I'd reorganised into better thought out sections and categories, and just as my hands placed the last folder on my new boss' desk, the door clicked and swung open as the black haired man came into view. He was wearing a white button down shirt with the sleeves rolled almost to his elbows, as well as dark wash skinny jeans that stretched taut over his muscular thighs, black dress shoes finished the office-chic look, the only imperfection was the cast that wrapped around his left wrist. Before I could ask anything about it, I realised I'd obviously just checked out my new boss, but what surprised me the most was that not only was I checking him out, in fact, he let his gaze wander over me, immediately making me feel self conscious.

"What the hell are you doing?" he said coldly, in a harsh, husky voice, a stern look of disapproval crossed his face. I stood my ground and and felt my jaw clench, slowly straightening, my features turned from focused to indifferent and uninterested.

"It's barely 8 AM, how is it this office already looks like a pigs stein?" I questioned, looking him dead in the eyes. My question was non-chillant, yet still very blunt, so much for good first impressions...
