Chapter 2 Unraveling

Hospital setting.

He walked up to her asking her abruptly if she really does not want the position. And asked if he won the election and he decides to forfeight. Guess who's second in line. 

He was implying that she's the one who'll end up with the position. He reiterated his words back in internship, 6 years ago, his take why a female should lead. Organization and stuff. But being under the same dilemna before, she asked him to sit down first and stop leaning towards her and cornering her in a wall with his arms above her shoulders. He said di diay ko. Nganong di man pwede ini. 

He leaned closer and inhaled her scent. Smelling ever so slowly, they stayed that way. After awhile, she asked whether he is okay. She knew that something is bothering him and she placed her hand inside his coat and let it crawl to his back and patted him. She has this way of maintaining her distance to men and she did read somewhere that patting firmly signifies brotherhood and friendship compared to gentle touching like most women do, caressing men.

All the while, he is having an internal struggle. This is the first time she let him in some form of closeness in the hospital where everything is a big deal. It mattered to her, rumors. He is mightily torn in hugging her at that moment and feel her up sober. But he can't take it anymore, his hands carried her swiftly towards the nearest room, put her down behind the closed door and inserted his hand in her scrubs touching her bare back to her side boob and the other hand groping her ass towards him. Nangigigil na sya. He can't take it anymore. 

He is seeing red from jealousy, years of sexual frustrations and exasperation from his frigid, very dense soon-to-be wife. He had enough. She has to be his whether she likes it or not.

Alexa

Di ko na maintindihan anong unang uunahin. She's torn between discerning this is actually happening or telling him to stop. But she decided on the latter.

"Nic, anong ginagawa mo? " Utal niyang saad. 

"Let me go, now. We can talk about this." Dun lang naalala ni Alexa na baka may dinadamdam ang kaibigan. Yes, she considers him a friend now. 

Funny, noon nunka pero after all these years he grew on her system.

But instead of letting her go mas naramdaman ni Alex na mas lalong yumapos ang binata sa kanya. At sa pagkakahumindik nya ay binibigyan sya ng hinayupak ng hickeys sa kanyang leeg! 

All the while she was thinking about his wellbeing sinasalaula na pala sya! Animal talaga mga lalaki sa mundo! Kaya she did what was appropriate for the occasion, tinuhod nya ito at she could still hear him groan as she fumingly walked out from the room.

Anya

"O, Lex san ka galling? Akala ko ba may grand rounds? Ay wait bat may something yay leeg mo? And why do you look pissed? Ke aga aga naman." Saad ng kapwa doktor at kaibigan nya na si Alyana o Anya as they fondly call her. Nakadapa ito sa kanilang residents' quarter with her laptop on and her wide rimmed thick glasses, balck scrubs and a messy brown ponytail.

Di nya ma gets ang kaibigan. Rare lang nya makitang not reserved ito. Kahit sa times na may mga emergency sa ER, blood or limb splatter and all, di nya nakitaan ng emotion tong babaing to. Ano kaya nangyari dito.

She can only stare at her friend as she wiped a slime on her neck.

Wait! Is that saliva? What the fuck!

"Ano yan Lexxx!" Bumangon siya at kinuha ang alcohol sa may table and offered it to her friend.

Napatili nlng sa inis ang kanyang kaibigan and pulang pula na sa inis. 

Wait, is that inis she's seeing? Napa smile na ako. This is new. Her frigid friend is changing and I think I know why as she saw Niccolo entering their quarters and looked fiercely at her friend's back still not aware who just entered. 

Pinag palit-palit nya ang mata between the two.
