I looked away and saw Bryan and Ryan walking down the street. I could tell Bryan was talking the whole time by the way Ryan was looking but she was interested in what he was saying

Bryan started dance wit him as Ryan laughed

Ryan came and sat beside me. "When you gonna get your hair down" i asked her touching her hair just for her to smack it

"I'm jhi hungry" fats said rubbing his stomach and we busted out laugh "what's funny I'm dead ass serious"

We sat there for another hour before fats ordered some food for one his big ass

I watch as Bryan looked at Ryan and she gave him a thumbs up "um Rico you wanna go get some food wit me"

"Me too cause a nigga hungry" Mikey said and Bryan mugged him "I was thinking just me and her"

Rico laughed at him "come on" she said grabbing her stuff

They said they lil goodbyes and left. We watched as they got in Rico car and left and Brandon's car pulled in making me roll my eyes and stand up "I'm going in the house"

Ryan pulled my arm and I sat back in the seat "that's y'all brother" Mikey whispered

He got out the car and walked over to us and we just stared at him

"If you hear to tell us about grandma save it dickhead we already know. And we also know that you been hanging out wit your father that great. I mean he must get the father of the year award huh" I said laughing and sitting back down

Ryan sat me down after she first learned that grandma had Alzheimer. She couldn't really say it but she put the words together to do so.

"Why wasn't you there when she was getting beat on. Or hey why you didn't beat him up your damn self. Why you didn't take a lil gap year to help us or try to get custody of us. Why you had grandma in there thinking you was gonna get custody. In fact I remember her telling me she was gonna pay for a fucking apartment for the three of us to leave but you said no because college it for important then me and Ryan.

"You her father why you can get it" ant asked mugging him "nigga go get her some damn food."

Ant huffed as he grabbed his keys "get us some too" Mikey yelled at him

"That boy is something special" treyvon said walking backs into the house

"What's up wit y'all brother. I thought he was there for y'all and shit" fats asked and I looked at Ryan

"He was but there was more he could do. And he wanna have a relationship wit the person that caused all our pain and suffering" I told him

"Brandon was there and I will always love him. But there was more he could've tried to do. And I don't even think I wouldn't be so mad if he wasn't going to act like our dad is a good man. That he can just walk in and out of our life. You know he ain't shit to his other kids either"

"My man Jayden was telling me how he left him for a while before coming back. That he walks in and out on them all the time. He ain't shit and it's gonna apparently take Brandon a while to see that. He would always preach 'fuck him' and 'he's a bitch' like dude really. And he didn't even wanna tell us that our grandma was gonna forget us and she can't get full custody of us" I took and deep breath

"He's just gonna have to get hurt to realize what's gonna happen" I looked at Ryan and pulled her towards me "it's us against the world." I kissed her cheek softly and smiled
