*Math

The next day Topaz walked into Math feeling hella fine in her cute floral dress. Math was the class she had with Cody behind her and Elliot beside her. Topaz was normally the type admit to herself some of the things she did were weird and she just learned not to care. One of those things was day dreaming about Cody. She pictured herself doing all kinds of girly overly romantic things with him. All of which were Plot Twist free. She turned herself around to look at Cody and smiled. He smiled back and said, "Hey Topaz I'm looking forward to Friday." Topaz of course thought 'Well duh, I'm fabulous.' but didn't say that because she wanted Cody to like her. "ha yeah me too it'll be fun!" She said merrily. Cody glanced to his right and back to Topaz then simply replying, "Yeah we'll talk later though okay?" Topaz was a little disappointed but turned around anyway. Before she had a second to pull out her notebook she felt eyes watching her. Elliot. She turned to her right to look him directly in the eye. "Do you need something?" She demanded.  Elliot scoffed at her and turned around facing his desk. Topaz rolled her eyes and started focusing on her math.

Topaz sucked at math. I mean sure everyone has their bad subjects right? Wrong. She had always just barely passed, it was horrible, and every year she would tell herself, okay Topaz, this year you're actually going to try. Yeah that never happened. She wasn't going to lie to herself this year, she knew it would be the same. Not to mention Cody's beautiful face always watching her. It was traumatizing really. The entire hour she sat there, took notes. dropped her pencil about 500 times because shes just that clumsy, and each time Elliot would roll his eyes and pick it up. Actually toward the last 100 times he would even sigh or mutter "Christ Topaz." Very eventful. But finally, finally, the class was over and she talked to Cody.

        "Hey Cody!" she said excitedly

"Oh what's up Topaz" he said with a small smile.

"Ha nothing obviously, oh my lanta I'm absolutly terrible at math!"

"No kidding me too! But hey I gotta run! I'll talk to you Saturday though!" he said leaving her in the crowded hallway.

She turned and headed to her locker with a smile on her face, which quickly faded as she met eye to eye with that kid Elliot.

"Get away from my locker Elliot."

" You really are terrible at Math."

        "Kay bye."

" You can ignore me all you want but i'd like to point out that if you fail you'll have to go to tutoring and you'll never guess who the student tutor is- yeah don't say anything it's me."

        That made Topaz freeze.

"-and no offense but i'd like to keep our conferences minimal."

"Listen, they're my grades Elliot, I know what I'm doing, so why don't you keep your big nose out of my business? Yeah- don't say anything, it's a yes." Topaz said with red cheeks. She stomped off in the other direction to her next class, leaving him there deadpanned.

She was so done with that geek, and she was going to ace the test in two weeks. There was no way she was going to tutoring with that dumb Elliot.

When Topaz got home she immediately texted Raven telling her about Math. Of course Raven told her stuff like oh honey just pass math, don't let that dumb boy win. But doll don't forget to focus on math you can focus on Cody after school ;) Ha okay Raven. Topaz laid on her bed thinking things over until dinner. Stupid boys.
