CHAPTER 2 ~4 HOURS LATER~
"How much will that be?" I asked the taxi driver as I looked for my wallet.
"That will be $8.37." The driver answer
Pulling out a $50 bill, "Here you go, keep the change" I handed it to him before slipping out of the taxi and grabbing my luggage from the trunk.
"Bless your soul, madam." he said before pulling off.
Turning around I stared at my beautiful house. It was a 2 story house with 5 bedrooms,7 baths, pantry, 2 living areas, a large study, game room, 4 car garage, 6 car driveway, an indoor pool and hot tub and outdoor pool by the guest house.
"Home Sweet Home," I said to myself with a sigh.
Walking up to the house, I unlocked it, turned off the security system and flicked the switch to make sure that the electricity was put back on. Taking off my suit jacket, I checked the time to see that it was 11:30 pm. I walked up the stairs and into my master bedroom. Kicking off my heels, I plug my phone into the charger and fell face first into my California king bed into a dreamless sleep.
-----------------BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!------------------------------
"What the hell," I answered groggily to the alarm clock.
Looking at the glowing red numbers, I see that it's 6:00 am. Rolling over, I climb out of the bed and went straight into the bathroom and turned on the water to the Jacuzzi. After putting in some peach mango bubble bath from Bath&Body Works, I stripped out of my suit from the day before and threw the clothes into my hamper before getting in the Jacuzzi. 45 minutes later, I got out a wrapped one of my soft, yellow plush towels around my body and walked to the sink to wash my face and brush my teeth. After I was satisfied with the results, I opened up the door that that lead me to my closet.
Looking around my closet, I forgot that I had organize my closet by outfits. The very front of my closet is where I keep my business suits and elegant gowns. The middle part is where I have my normal clothing and jogging outfits and the very back is where my lingerie and club dresses are located. I walked over to my only drawer in my closet and pulled out a pair of matching bra and panties and some socks. With that in one hand, I walked over to the middle of the closet and pulled out a sky blue jogging suit and white cropped top then I went into my shoe closet and grabbed a pair of all white air forces.
"Oh snap, I need to check my answering machine. I know ma has called by now," I thought as I threw my clothes on the bed and press the button to the machine.
"You. Have. 44 .New. Messages." the answering machine read out to me.
"Oh, God," I said with a sigh grabbing my mango lotion off the night stand.
Walking over to the bed, I sat down and started lotion up my body. By the time I was fully dress, the machine still had 13 messages to go. Right when I was about to delete the rest of the messages, I heard one of my cousin's voice ring through.
BEEP "GiiiiGiiiiiiii! What's gooooood, Fam? It's me,Mony.I be seein' yo ass on t.v., on them damn court shows and shit doin' the damn thang. Bet you making serious paper, huh? Well, anyway just wanted to let you know that I love and miss yo crazy ass. Don't forget about the little people aight?" BEEP
After listening to Mony's message,I know i had a big ass grin on my face. I made a mental note to go visit him today after I go see Ma. Skipping down the steps, I made went into the kitchen and open the refrigerator to see that it was pretty much empty. "Damn," I thought as I grabbed my keys. I looked at the the time to see that it was 8:03 am.
