The Bad Boys Are Back

Hello readers... I'm sorry for abandoning this book. I blame life for happening. I'll be attaching a summary/recap of all the previous chapters for those who need it, as listed below. Enjoy :)

The story starts off with Ava bumping into three delinquents - recently released from juvie for different crimes - and they blackmail her into becoming their 'slave' after chancing upon her intricate plans to destroy her arch nemesis Nancy's life. By 'slave' they really mean someone to tutor them and do their assignments. The afore mentioned delinquents are Finn (an uncommunicative, tattooed person with numerous traumas and a drug problem), Jasper (Cupid's reincarnate with insane charm and an equally insane body count), and Levi (a vaping, gym nut who was recently revealed to have an IQ of 146 rather than 46).

The story further progresses to reveal that Ava is an active volunteer at Heart to Heart Hospice, where she tends to geriatric folk on the brink of death. The Warehouse (the boys' mancave where Levi lives with his dog Arnold) is subsequently introduced, along with Ava's widowed, overly protective mother and her cat named Pinhead. Further along the lines, it is revealed that Ava's father died in a plane crash, hence her mother's mental state.

Ava begins to draw close to the boys through a series of interactions, including but not limited to grabbing a fake Xanax prescription with Finn, an unresolved allegation against Ava indicating she stole the boys' merchandise inventory (read: drug stash), a drunken date with Jasper which ended unfavourably at the mention of stolen coke stash + a little steamy action with Finn after, attendance to a drug party where Ava imbibes a spiked drink that completely blurs her sense of rationalisation (she gets a tattoo and accidentally seduces Finn in the process), and

Along the way, Ava unconsciously picks up an addiction to nicotine, allowed her grades/school work to slip, grew apart from her Christian best friend Francesca, held a few unfriendly conversations with Nancy, found out Levi is acting dumb & went to juvie for a rape allegation which wasn't true, and discovered someone had planted the coke stash in her bag.

The last chapter ends with Ava bumping into Levi and Jasper at school, and agreeing to grab McDonald's with them while she secretly stresses about the drug stash in her possession, and Finn's incoherency (it is implied the guy was high off his ass) when she called him the night before to demand answers.

"What are you doing for the rest of the day?"

I was alone with Jasper now. Levi was refilling ketchup for his fries. McDonald's was empty this afternoon, and we managed to snag a nice seat by the window.

Eyes wide, I tilted my head up to look at Jasper. I had to study, but I told him, "Nothing, I'm not doing anything. Why?"

"Let's change that."

Before me, three trays of ketchup landed. Levi was back with his third ketchup refill.

"What?" Levi looked quizzically at us.

"Nothing," I murmured. "That's just a lot of ketchup."

"Vitamin C." Levi responded cheerfully.

Lunch went on with chatter between Levi and Jasper which I tuned out because I had more important matters to attend to within my head. I only zoned back in when Levi waved a fry in front of my face. I leaned forward to grab it with my teeth.

"That's hot." I heard Jasper say.

"Every female is hot to you," Levi scoffed. "Also could you drop me off at the gym?"

"Yeah sure man."

Levi suddenly grabbed his paper cup of diet coke and lifted it up. "Cheers?"
