Now to continue my unfinished business with the bed.
I ran up to my room right after locking the doors and laid on my bed before checking my phone one last time, still no message from Nate. I sighed and covered myself in a duvet... slowly I drifted off.

I had no idea how long I'd slept for but clearly I was asleep for hours and so I was fairly exhausted. Almost immediately I opened my eyes I heard a thud, it had come from the kitchen so I assumed my cats were settling scores from their fight earlier. I got up from bed and I walked past the window in my room and I thought I saw a figure staring from across the street but then I looked again and saw nothing. 'weird' . I decided to go through my schedule for the day, well since today is a weekend I guess school's out, uh I conveniently have nothing to do today pfft.
I was brought out of thought when I heard the door bell ring twice
'ding dong'
'ding dong'
I rushed down the stairs still in my outfit from earlier, I got to the door and leaned to look through the peep hole
"Who's there?" I ask as I opened the door, the warm breeze brushed my face as I realized no one was there. I could have sworn I heard the bell, I guess I imagined it or something. I continued to the parlor where I picked up the remote and turned on the TV, I might as well watch a movie since I've got nothing to do unless of course these are unfortunately movies I've watched before ugh I'll just watch KC undercover instead.
I heard the door bell ring again and I just wasn't going to get it. ' No way I'm falling for that again' but it rang yet again and I heard Blake's voice
"Haley? Haley open up". I jumped off the couch to go get the door when I hit my feet on the textbooks I'd borrowed from the school library... 'owww!'
I unlocked the door and it was impatiently pushed open by Blake who was now standing in front of me
"Heyyy Hay-"
I must have caught him by surprise when I dived into a hug and I could feel a smile crept up on his face. It must have been so long because I can't believe I've forgotten how poisonous that smile is, he looked at me with his sparkling green eyes, we stood there staring at each other for what felt like hours, I mean sure it was barely a minute or two but don't judge me, it was magical...Wait wtf am I saying to myself. Blake has been my 'close' friend since the third grade, we didn't get along too well until, well, it's a story for another time. Right now I don't know why he looks so hot in his all black shirt, skinny ripped jeans and white and black converse, with his white ear pod resting on his ear lob and his perfect dirty brown hair coiling down his face to rest upon his eyebrow, such perfect bangs sigh, he brushed his hair backwards and man you do not want to know what that does to me. Snap out of it Hay!! You're with Nate remember!?.
" Umm you wanna come in?"
"Oh no I just wanted to clean the windows" I heard him say followed by an almost invisible smirk, I smacked his arm and got a "oww! sure I want to come in. Jeez"
I stepped aside so he could walk in and I closed the door right after
"So what brings you to my home this fine day gentleman?, and How long have you been in town? Did ya miss me that much? Huh? Huh?.. did ya?"
"You wish, I just came to see my mother in law, so is she at home or-
I cut in and said "Ohh okay then, it's just me and my mom traveled and also she's not your mother in law because I won't be your wife, got that? Okay cool"
"Hhh"
"You got that little boy?" I asked looking into his eyes
"Heck no you just called me a boy!"
"Well aren't you one?"
"No. No I'm not one and you know that" he spat angrily
"Yea' well that's your problem, I'm not your anything and I hope my message has been passed on"
"Hmph"
"Sooo you wanna watch a movie?"
"No"
"Wanna play video games?"
"No"
"Are you mad at me?" I said feigning puppy dog eyes
"No"
"Well then do you want to study?"
"Ughh NO"
"You just want to leave or something?, because I don't get why you're being such a Missy"
"I'm not, and I'm not angry...just hurt" he said looking away as his face turned red.
"Look I'm sorry okay, let's just pretend I didn't say anything"
"Yeah sure"
"Thanks so what do you want to do?"
"I don't know, Can we play T or D?"
"Okay, but I don't want to play dirty" I said while displaying an angelic smile as I imagined a white floating crown or horizontal ring thing over my head.
"C'mon, you know you do"
"Don't even try to convince me because it's not gonna happen"
"Pfft fine!"
He pulled his shoes and descended to sit on the floor instead of the chair and I just stood looking and contemplating whether or not to sit next to him, I'm sure he wouldn't bite so yeah I'll sit beside him, I was smiling at the conversation between I and my subconscious
"What you smiling at?"
"Uhm nothing, truth or dare?" I said rather hastily
"Truth"
" Okay, how many girls have you kissed?" This should be fun.
"Let's say about 20, 21 if I include you" he said smiling mischievously
"Ha!! That's impressive, I admire your confidence but I'm also aware that you're cognisant of the fact that I'm with Nate"
"You are, and I know that, but come on the guy doesn't even know you like I do, he doesn't care like I do, neither does he spend much time with you...he's only available when he's free it's not like he actually MAKES time for you" Blake said in a duh tone
"Are you done?, Look Nate is very busy these days and I honestly feel that you're in no place to tell me who and who not to date or be with." Why the hell am I even defending him ugh
"Alright, have it your way, but if I have to then I'll wait, no matter how long it takes because you know I'm right."
"Riiight. I pick d" I changed the topic before things get further complicated
"Ooh I dare you to uh.... Take off your shirt"

Diane's POV
I think I'd better leave, I don't want her to be a part of this wack tradition, I tried so hard, how could they have found us, I'll just have to leave for now, after taking my husband Mark they still want my kids, that's not happening. The earlier I debunk the longer time they'll be safe and old enough. I better go wake Hayley up, I can't waste more time.
I rushed up to Hayley's room to get her, I should better knocked before opening the door, I don't want her yelling at me again. She's so obscure these days, I Honestly hope she's okay
"Haley? Haley? Are you awake?"
I could hear her footsteps and then the sound of her zipper so I guessed she was getting dressed.
"Yeah Mom I'm up, just give me a sec!" I heard her say from inside, I let her know that I was in a hurry and that after breakfast I would be leaving.
...
We got to the airport at about 6:15am, I hope she doesn't find out that I have ulterior motives.
I could see her eyes watering as I had my luggage checked, she tried to hide it by adjusting her cap and looking away, but I knew it anyway, I was her mother and she my daughter, I would hate to see them get taken away from me. Yes this is for the best.
I hugged her so tight for what would be the last time for a long unpredictable while.
"I'm sorry baby"
"I know you are, there's no need to apologise I mean this isn't our first time apart and you won't be gone forever right" she said rolling her eyes while trying to force smile
"Exactly my girl, take care of yourself okay? And please don't let rex and caty go hungry" I said to her referring to the cats
"Sure mom, take care as well, oh and my regards to Gaia...I guess" I kissed her forehead and I watched as she left, walking out of the airport, now it was my turn to leave, before someone thinks I look weird.
I might not be gone forever but as long as us three are concerned, when we're together, danger isn't as far as an inch away from us.
