Amber's POV>>

I slowly opened my eyes. Realizing I was in my own bed, the memories of the past week flooding into my brain. Thick snow clumps flying down, hitting the ground and piling up, all happening outside my window.
Wait.
"IT'S CHRISTMAS!" I scream, running out of my room down the hall to Jack's.
He groaned as I jumped on his bed.
"WAKE UP IT'S CHRISTMAS!" I screamed in his face.
He started whacking me with his pillow so I stole his covers and ran downstairs.
Another note from my dad. I knew it was just saying he was on a work trip, so I didn't bother to read it.
Being in the Christmas spirit, I decided to make Jack and I a special breakfast-which was eggs and toast.
"Thanks." He rubbed his eyes and sat down.
"Jack's coming to celebrate Christmas with us." He said, starting to eat.
"Are we planning on staying home today?" I asked him, making coffee for us.
"Pretty much, I have to get Jack a present, I'm guessing you have to also?" He looked up at me.
"Uh, yeah." I laughed a little.
"Okay, get ready, we leave in 30." He put his dishes in the sink and walked upstairs.
I sat down and ate my food and drank my coffee slowly.
After I finished I put my dishes in the dishwasher and walked upstairs.
I had about 10 minutes, so I decided against showering.
I grabbed my black 'Pink' leggings, brown combat boots, and a gray, loose sweater. I brushed my hair and pulled back two pieces, securing them with a white bow.
"Let's go!" Jack called me from downstairs.
I grabbed my phone from the charger and my wallet, shoving them both in a bag.
Getting into his car, I realized I have no idea what to get Jack.
I had already gotten gifts for my family, but none for my friends.
We pulled up to a target.
"Once we're in there, we go our separate ways. One hour, that's it. Go!" He raced out of the car and through the target doors.
45 minutes passed and I hadn't found anything. Being the basic bitch I am, I got him a $50 iTunes gift card. But I had other ideas. I checked out and got a vanilla bean frapuccino at the Target Starbucks as I waited for Jack.
We got into the car.
"Jack, take me to a jewelry store."
"Are you going to propose?" He laughed.
"I'm getting us promise rings." I shrugged.
"Okay, let's go."
We went to the nearest jewelry store and I picked out two identical rings, that say 'promise' on the inside. I paid and walked back out to the car.
"Home we go!" I shouted.
We both laughed, having a good time.

||At Home||

After 30 minutes of being home Johnson came over.
We gave each other our presents, Jack and I are currently watching Elf, snuggled on the couch with our promise rings on.
It's 9:30 and I'm beat.
"I'm going to go to bed." I yawned.
I'm surprised my dad hasn't texted us yet to at least say Merry Christmas.
Thinking of it, I didn't read his note, he usually says where he is.
I walked up to the counter and read the not.

Jack&Amber,
I love you both so much. But I have realized I'm not an appropriate father. Never being here for you, and always on business trips isn't a healthy father child relationship. I know your mother left, and I'm sad to say I have to also. I wouldn't like you to live with your other family, you'll figure something out. Merry Christmas kids.
Love, dad

"Jack! Jack!" I screamed.
"What's wrong!" My brother came rushing in.
I saw his face fall as he read the note.
He was cradling me as I was crying on the kitchen floor.

Merry Christmas.

<<AHH! OKAY MERRY CHRISTMAS! but yeahh so have happy holidays(: byee>>
