Blood Lust Shattered Mind (sonadow)

Chapter 1 prevew

Sonic sat just outside of the new house shadow had just recently bought with all the money saved up  from working at Gun for so many years before they met. How long has it been? Two years since that war ? Sonic thought to himself lifting his hands to gently run them through his thick blue quills, the weather was just right to relax and do nothing for the entire day, who could blame him? Doing nothing but moving  out of an old castle which was used as a base during the war with Eggman and into a new house wasn't exactly easy work. Sonic would rather save the day than spend the rest of the afternoon with Shadow or his friends.

"Sonic, get your lazy ass up and help!"

That yelling voice snapped Sonic out of his daydreams and back to reality, everyone has been working to move for a month straight, with Silver having the easiest job it seems. Yard work; which was Silver's favorite job.

"You don't need to yell Shadow, I can hear just fine!"

Sonic crossed his arms then started to walk to the black hedgehog with a bit of a pouty frown, he can admit he just wanted to slack off.

When Sonic came up to him, Shadow spoke and gave his usual emotionless look. "Come on, don't pout. We're almost done moving in." Shadow did hate to admit but after the war Sonic had been getting more more laid back, he wouldn't call it lazy, not yet at least.

Sonic responded, puffing up his chest to look more tough

"I, do not pout."

Shadow glared slightly at Sonic's reaction, rolling his eyes then leaning next to him and giving Sonic a tender kiss upon his cheek. Then pulling away.

Shadow shook his head slightly "You always pout Sonic... but look at the bright side, at least the house is smaller than the old worn out museum of a base, Fewer chores."

Sonic started to open his mouth to say something in protest, then shut it. It was actually a pretty good idea, Sonic thought for a moment then smiled at Shadow.

"Yeah, go-figure."

Shadow smiled slightly to himself, sometimes Sonic was too easy to persuade. He knew all too well about sonic, most of the time.

As the day went on, Sonic and Shadow worked the entire rest of the day especially with Sonic trying to rush himself out of the work like always and as the hours went by the sun began to set, Sonic made it a game with Shadow on who can finish the work first before the sun set. Eventually Mephiles and Silver joined in moving furniture, unpacking books and silverware to put them all in their organized places. The sun finally set with the four stopping inside the living room with Silver being there first, laughing in his new found victory of course. Now the day was done, Sonic frowned at his friend Silver playfully.

Everything was now done and the four were obviously hungry, Silver and Shadow volunteered to cook, since the two make the best food. Sonic and Mephiles waited in the living room, the two were on good terms but not exactly friends but were a bit sceptical about him.. Sonic started to speak to start a bit of a conversation,he leaned back on the couch as he looked over to Mephiles who had a book in his hands reading.

"Mephiles, I have a question." Sonic said.

Mephiles shifted his eyes up to look at the blue hedgehog, slightly annoyed to be interrupted from his reading as he responded with his calm voice.

"What is it you want to ask?"

Sonic could see the slight annoyance from Mephiles as he proceeded to ask his question.

"What is it with you drinking a lot of wine? I know people like it but.. How does it affect you?"Mephiles chuckled at the question slightly, looking back down at the book he held.
