"If you hurt her, you're dead" Taeyong said as he walked out, glaring at Xiaojun whose brows were furrowed while you rolled your eyes at his words. "He can't even understand you Taeyong"

"Shut up, you're already using my office!"

"Xiaojun, don't do anything stupid" Yukhei said, looking at him with a serious expression, before exiting the room as well.

"You sure you'll be okay?" Jeno asked. He was already out of the room when you saw his head tilted to the side as he peeked from the entrance. "The man can barely walk, what's the worst that could happen to me, right?" You joked, which Jeno only frowned at.

You sighed.
"I'll be fine Jeno. I'll call if I need anything"

And with one last glance at Xiaojun, Jeno closed the door to the room.

Much to Taeyong's dislike, barely a minute in operating on Xiaojun, you had screamed for everyone else to leave the room. The injured man could only stare at the situation with confusion, unable to grasp anything aside from Yukhei's words, and that you probably weren't a hostage like he thought.

"Why did you do that?" he asked hesitantly, unsure if you really understood the language he spoke earlier.

"You were too tense, and it was straining your body. I know that it must be uncomfortable being treated in an unknown base with all of these armed people, and I know you don't like me as well but relax a little and bear with me."

Silence filled the air after that.
And Xiaojun could only stare as you treated his wound with such concentration and the utmost care.

Aside from him realizing that you were somewhat affiliated with this gang, the fact that you even seemed to have authority only confused him even more, alongside with your relationship with his gang's sniper.

If there was one thing that Xiaojun knew about Yukhei, it was that he never showed a hint of weakness or emotion when it came to business. But the tone of Yukhei's voice when he ordered him to just go along with whatever the fuck you were gonna do sounded as if there was so much trust in it, something that he thought was foreign to Yukhei.

Xiaojun couldn't even begin with the facial expression Yukhei made when he caused a commotion. It wasn't relief of being saved. He clearly remembered Yukhei glancing at you, as if worried that he had upset you.

Then, there was also your worrying about his injuries.

"I broke in your base..." He suddenly trailed off as you bandaged his newly stitched wound, breaking the long silence. You simply remained silent.

"I shot some of your men..." This time you hummed in response as you did the finishing touches. "They aren't my men anymore"

Xiaojun arched a brow. What was that supposed to mean? But right now wasn't the time for that.

"That still isn't a reason for you to help me"

"Can't you just shut up and be grateful. You were injured, I saw it, and decided to treat it. That's all" Xiaojun sighed. Although he understood what you were saying compared to earlier, he didn't get you at all.

"I'll ask if there's any extra clothes here for you. I'll also request a private room for you and Yukhei since you both probably need some time to talk about stuff right? Just stay here and I'll be back in a bit" You said as you got up and headed out.

Xiaojun was confused.
He was very confused about his current situation. He blinked, and he didn't know why but when he realized that you were already almost out the door, he panicked and blurted out the first thing that came to his mind.
