I run out of the door, and onto the side walk. I stop dead in my tracks, and pat my pockets. Ermergerd! I left my phone on my desk! I run back up to my door, and look in the window to check for dad. I don't need him harrasing me for my date "dumping me on the run". He's on the couch drinking a beer, and eating peanuts.

I snook throught the door, and tip-toed up to my room. I heard my father shifting into the kitchen. How does he get drunk so easy? He drinks every day!

I grab my phone, and switch the slidder to "silent". I tip-toe back down the stairs, and peak around the bannister. He's going back to the family room. Grand. I slip back out the door.

I look down at my phone. Another text from Paige: Hey, where are you?

C: Hey, sorry. Got a late start. B there soon

P: U sure? Lol

C: Omw rn

P: You text like you r from NYC

C: Thats bc I am

P: Really?

C: Yea

C: Gtg

C: Can't run and text at the same time :)

P: See you soon

*****At the beach*****

"You are finally here!" Paige yells from a bench. She was wearing a belly t-shirt and shorty shorts. Probably to cover her swim suit.

"Yea. Had to sneak past the old man." I smiled, and sat down next to her.

"Want to swim? The water is perfect. I dipped my toes into the water already."

"Yea just let me get these shorts off. Is there a changing room around here?" (You see, I had my swim suit on UNDER my shorts, and didn't feel comfortable stripping in front of all these people.)

"Just take of your shorts." She said, an she started to take off her shorts, and shirt.

And the most embarrassing thing that probably ever happened to me, happened.

I. Threw. Up.

I was so nervous. I leaned over the bench, and there was . . . Well, you know what it's like.

"Oh my God! That's disgusting!" Paige screamed. I blushed a lot. People were looking. Staring at me. "You need to go home. Like, right now. I'm not going to be swimming with someone who just yacked up their lungs!" She looked at me. "Bye Collin."

I looked up, and saw her walking away.

I say there for a few minutes. Then I decided to go home.
