My eyes went wide as I comprehended his question.

I gulped and without a second thought, nodded.

There was no way I would ever say no to this. So many times, we were so close but something or the other interrupted us. And even though, a hospital garden isn’t the perfect place for your first kiss, it doesn’t matter when you’re with the right person.

Cameron caught my answer immediately and leaned in. Butterflies went off in my stomach.

My eyes closed on their own accord.

“WE’RE ONE TONIGHT.. AND WE’RE BREATHING..”

We jumped apart at the sudden loud voice and I realized it was my phone ringing.

Fantastic timing!

I saw Cameron run a hand through his hair and I knew the frustration on his face matched my own.

I pulled out my phone and answered it, without looking at the caller Id.

“Hello?” Nobody could be as pissed off as me right now and the person who dared to disturb me is so going to suffer for this.

“Grace Annie Preston, what the hell are you doing out at this hour of the night?” A voice boomed from my phone and I instantly knew who it is.

“D-Dad?”

Oh shit!

“Bingo!”he said sarcastically.

“Dad. I..I wa-” I suttered. I’m so dead.

“No explanation. Where ever you are, I don’t care. Get home, right this moment.” he was furious, I could tell.

I looked at my watch and realized it was past eleven already. Damn it!

“I’ll be there.” I said quickly.

“You better be.” And the line went dead.

Oh god! Why!

I looked at Cameron and blushed a little, remembering what was about to happen moments ago. Thanks dad!

I huffed. “I-I have to go.”

He nodded. “I’ll drop you home.”

“No.” I shook my head. “You need to stay here.”

He gave me a flat look. “Grace I’m not letting you go on your own. It’s late.” He said started walking towards his bike.

“But-”

“C’mon!” he cut me off. I huffed. Idiot!
