William's POV
I had sent Grell and Eryn on a difficult reap about 2 hours ago, only to see that the scum of Sebastian Michaelis and his master Ciel Phantomhive were after Jake Manning. Once I sorted that situation out, I told Grell that we were still going to visit the Phantomhive manor. I was only going there because of Eryn, somehow she has no recollection of her past or that she isn't a reaper at all. I had read and heard around that someone who doesn't have any memory of their past then they would most likely die. I refuse to let that happen to her. I notice that Grell was looking to his side and saw that Eryn had a determination to kill glare in her eyes, but this didn't effect me because I had seen that look in another's eyes in the 1700s. I could tell this terrified him very much, but alas there wasn't anything we're able to do until we reach our destination.
Once we were about 2 miles away from the Phantomhive manor, I told Grell to hand me his death scythe as well as Eryn. They both looked at me in a strange way on why I needed their death scythes. Then I started to explain it to them.
"I need your death scythes because I don't want a long battle between a wretched demon and two reapers. Now do you both understand."
"I guess so Will, but why do we have to go to the Phantomhive manor? It's not like we have any business there or do we." Eryn asked after she handed me her sword. As much as it pained me to see such a powerful weapon seem useless, but I had to take their weaponry away otherwise those two would have started a long battle.
"Our business at the Phantomhive estate is information that you will find out as soon as we get there." I lied to her. I saw the hurt in her eyes, but it was necessary for me to lie.
"I get it. You have to keep certain information classified from me, so don't worry about me okay Will." That was the first time I heard her call me 'Will' in a hurt tone of voice, but I had to drop it. We kept walking until Grell started to run in a full sprint toward the Phantomhive estate yelling 'Bassy' like a mad man. Eryn and myself have to run after him, so Sebastian doesn't have to deal with an overactive Shinigami. When we finally reached the front steps of the estate we saw Grell being held down by a demon hound which is in front of the scum known as Sebastian.
"What is your business here William?" Sebastian asked while motioning the demon hound off of Grell and for it to charge at Eryn and myself. I closed my eyes and waited for the impact, but before any impact was made I opened my eyes to see Eryn in front of me with her scythe unsheathed right in front of me like she was protecting from the demon hound. I look into her eyes as soon as she looked into mine and I saw kindness, care, and love in her eyes. I think she saw the same in mine because we stayed that way for only two more seconds until she slashed her scythe into the side of the beast.
"Call off your disgusting hound Michaelis or I will end its pitiful life." I heard Eryn snarled at him.
"Not until I know what business brings two horrid reapers and one lovely creature to the Phantomhive manor." Sebastian said in disgusting tone of voice then shifted it to a flirtatious tone at the end.
"Will would you like to explain why we're here in the first place?" Eryn asked me after she had sheathed her scythe.
"Our business here today is about Eryn and only her, Michaelis." I responded while avoiding Eryn's eyes. I knew she was getting furious at me about keeping that sort of information from her. I just felt guilty to keep that, but I had to lie to the only woman I have had feelings for.
"You kept that information from me William." Eryn roared in my direction. I truly felt terrified to be this close to her. I could feel her cold dark stare burning holes in my skull because I didn't have the heart to look her in the eye. Then she grabbed the collar of my shirt and made me look at her. She could see that I didn't tell her any of this for her protection. Her eyes soften and I was the only one able to get her over the edge and bring her back to normal.
"If that is your business reaper, then I will allow you to enter my home." I heard Ciel say. I didn't even hear him come outside in the first place. Maybe because I was just paying so much attention on Eryn that I didn't even notice. As soon as Ciel said that Eryn had released her grip on my shirt collar and help Grell off the ground.
When we entered the manor I saw Eryn tense up because she felt so uncomfortable being in a place so unfamiliar to her. I had to stand next to her, so she knows that she isn't alone here. This caused her to relax and held onto my arm for one reassurance about Grell and myself actually being here. In my eyes Eryn just looks like an innocent fragile child who needs some bodies support to let her know she doesn't have to face the world alone, but right now it seems I'm her reassurance in the situation. Ciel and Sebastian led us to the top of the grande staircase and turned to the left toward Ciel's study. Once we reached and entered the room, I notice that Eryn was holding onto my arm a bit more than before. I was quite glad she chose me to be her support, but I know that I shouldn't get used to that. After all she has known Grell longer, she had recently met Sebastian, and was acquainted with me about 8 months ago.
"Why must you come to my manor about Miss Eryn, reaper?" Ciel asked after whispering something to Sebastian.
"It's because Eryn isn't in fact a Shinigami, but she is classified as a rare demon called the Phoenix Archdemon. One of Hell's most powerful demon. I came across this information when I asked her about her past and I had heard around about something happening like this before, also I had read about it in the Shinigami historical records." I said with a lump in my throat, but I didn't let that affect me. I had felt Eryn's grip tighten on my arm even more as I spoke.
"What you're saying is that I'm what you hate the most Will?" I heard Eryn ask me by what I heard through a shaky and cracked voice.
"Yes that's what I'm saying, but I don't hate you Eryn. I would never live with myself if I hated the one person that I have felt any emotion toward." I said turning to my side and pulling Eryn into a hug. I could hear her cries into my shoulder, but I just let that happen. I knew what impact this would have on her finding out that her whole life was a lie and was surrounded by false truths, but the true things in her life were that majority of the reapers that know or knew her were her friends until the day they couldn't breath a single breath of air. It pained me to see such a strong independent individual break down.
"I-I-I'm just gl-gl-glad it w-w-was you to t-t-tell me W-W-Will." she stuttered out while looking at me in the eyes. Just seeing her like this made me want to cradle her and tell her everything was going to be alright and tell her I'm always here to protect her from any harm that may come her way, but I knew that wasn't my place to say because she only thought of me as a friend.
