"Hey do you think she'll remember?" A kid's voice said

I think I'm still dreaming... though that voice sounded real. Maybe I should just keep my eyes closed, I think I'm still half asleep.

"I don't think so... if she would, she'll just think that it's a regular nightmare." A voice that sounded older answered

Okay I don't think I'm dreaming, those voices sounded real and maybe I'm getting robbed by a family or something. I opened my eyes and sat up as quickly as I could.

"WHO ARE YOU?! WHY ARE YOU HERE?? I'M GONNA CALL THE COPS!!" I shouted

The Things I saw shocked me.

There were 4 "things" in my living room. First, there was a bright red monkey with horns. Second, there was a teddy bear sitting down on the monkey's shoulder. Third, there was this Pillow with eyes and a stitched mouth. Lastly, there was a floating white cat wearing a tiara with a bright purple gem in the middle.

"You- she can see us??" The monkey asked to the cat.

"Yes. The girl definitely can see us." The cat said

The cat sounded like a queen or a princess, kinda explains the tiara on her head.

My brain couldn't comprehend what was happening. Maybe I still am dreaming??

"I'm dreaming. Yeah. This is a dream. You aren't real." I said to the creatures

"No you are not." The cat said

"Yes YOU ARE." The teddy bear replied as it looked at the floating kitty

"Just say that she is... are you stupid? Without astro, she won't forget any of this."  Teddy bear argued

"She can hear you ted." The monkey whispered

The white cat just grinned at me.

"What the hell is happening... what are you??" I asked as I panicking

"Just tell her." The cat ordered

"Yes Ma'am!" The monkey and teddy replied

Okay... A monkey with horns, a floating cat, a talking teddy bear, and a pillow?? None of this can be real? I think?? I'm sure that I'm wide awake and everything is real but these THINGS just look straight out of a dream.

"Hey kid...you better listen cause I will just explain this once." The teddy bear pointed at me as he said while jumping off the monkey's shoulder

"I'll explain it to you again if you won't get it miss! Teddy sucks at explaining." The monkey said as he raised his hand like child

"Hey I don't!" The bear sounded irritated

"Yes you do!"

"Are you just going to argue boys? Cause I can just explain it myself." The floating cat said that silenced the two

"I'll say it kitty." Teddy bear said

"Okay you just listen girl." Teddy added

"Story time!" Monkey explained

I just sat there trying to understand what was happening... a teddy bear is going to tell me a story. Just wow.

"We are Dreamers... parts dreams. My name is Teddy, also known as Peace. I keep you away from bad dreams and protect you from monsters while you sleep. This red monkey here is kidd with 2 D's cause he said so. Also known as happiness, he fills your dreams with joy and happiness. Basically giving you a dream that you like."

"Okay okay? What next" I said

"Shut up and just listen." Teddy replied

I covered my mouth and just relaxed on my couch

"The white cat you see floating is Kitty, also known as creation. She's the one responsible for the places in your dreams, she brings you to the places you always wanted to go inside your dream. The Pillow you see sitting on my lap is... I dont know but we call him Fluff cause he's soft. He is also known as Reality, Fluff may not look much but his job is to keep your dreams feel as real as you want, He makes you feel what you want to feel."

"So there's four of you? That makes you what? Embodiment of dreams?" I asked

"Technically there are five of us. And yes, we are the embodiment of dreams... your dreams atleast." Kitty explained

"Okay? But can you explain why there's only four of you here?" I argued

"The last one is Astro... also known as Conciousness. We call him Astro cause he looks like an astronaut. His job is to make you forget your dreams or atleast keep your head inside the dream." Teddy added

So a monkey, a teddy bear, a pillow with eyes, a flying cat, and an astronaut. What a dream... there's no way this is real.

"Oh eveything you see is real Aleisha. I can hear everything you think of... and I am a princess." Kitty said as I thought of exactly what she said

"So you can read my mind too, okay. Can I ask why that Astro guy is not here??" I wondered

"The same reason why you had those nightmares... you see, one big part of his job is to keep you in control of your dream." Kitty said that gave everyone in the room a frown

The atmosphere in the room changed, it felt heavy. I remembered the clowns in my dream... that balloon sword that went through my stomach. I could still remember the pain that I felt in every inch of my body. I almost wanted to cry just by thinking about it. But I was still curious.

"Isn't that what you all do? Keep me in control of MY dreams?" I said confusingly

But I have a point. If they're job is for me to be in control of my dream, should they be just fine even without that Astro guy?

"Hey... all of this is your fault. If you didn't lucid dream almost every damned night... Nightmare wouldn't have found a way to get Astro." Teddy was angry

He jumped onto the sofa that I was sitting on and looked at me dead serious in the eye.

"Aleisha, teddy has a point. All of us are as good as nothing when you lucid dream... yeah you're in control but you're alone. You don't have us to help you." Kidd sounded sad as he explained

"Oh.." I couldn't say anything else except for the word Oh. I felt their emotions...

"Wait... Who is this Nightmare guy?" I got curious, if he was the reason why I kept having these scary dreams, then I need to do something about this. I don't wanna see those things in my sleep again.

"He... he is the..." teddy was having a hard time explaining

I could understand what he was feeling.  That guy was definitely scary... just thinking of what I saw makes my stomach fall to the ground.
