Chapter 36- Labor

Ross's POV
I quickly ran upstairs to see Laura sitting on the bed, clutching her stomach.

"Are you okay?" I asked trying to stay calm.

"What do you think?" Laura breathed out.

"What do I do?" I was honestly so confused.

"TAKE ME TO THE HOSPITAL IDIOT!" Laura cried, followed by a scream from a contraction.

"Oh yeah, right" Ross laughed nervously.

"JUST GET DANI AND THE BAG, I'LL MEET YOU IN THE CAR!" Laura groaned, screaming from another contraction and headed outside.

"DANI YOUR BROTHERS COMING QUICK COME DOWN!" I yelled and grabbed the hospital bag.

"NO BROTHER!" Dani shrieked.

I sighed. "If you get in the car I will buy you candy."

"CANDY!"

And with that I hear little footprints prancing down the steps.

We entered the hospital, Dani in my arms and Laura breathing heavily.

"PLEASE HELP MY WIFE IS IN LABOR AND I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!" I wailed.

"Its okay sir, we will take her." The nurse chuckled and called up a doctor.

Laura was brought to a room, Dani and I followed, and we called the whole family.

"Oh Lauraa!" My mom smiled and gave her a hug.

In walked my brothers, Ratliff, Rydel, and finally Ellen, Vanessa, and Samantha.

"Mom!" Laura smiled.

"Oh my baby." Ellen cheered.

"Oh mom, I'm not a baby anymore." Laura giggled.

"Oh I better hope not! A baby having a baby? Gross! Besides I wasn't talking about you, I was talking about my grandson!" Ellen smiled.

Everybody laughed. Except Laura who was groaning in pain from another contraction.

"Laur, you okay?" I asked.

"Fine, just had a contraction." Laura answered.

Dani walked up to my mom.

"Grandma, you should take away Daddy's toys." Dani sighed.

"Why?" My mom laugheds

"He said he would buy me candy, but he never did!" Dani pouted, making everyone laugh.

After the laughter died down, Riker stood up.

"I have an announcement to make. I don't care if any one gets mad because it's my life and I can do whatever the hell I want. Vanessa and I are dating. Its best for the both of us because of Samantha and we are in love. Vanessa is a great girl and I hope you guys know that."

Everyone smiled and said they were happy for Riker and Vanessa and they wish them the best of luck and all that.

Laura spoke up.

"Ness, look. I get we have been not getting along lately and I'm not forgiving you for leaving us like that, but I can't keep a grudge. You are my sister and we should at least talk. I still love you and always will. I just won't be able to-" Laura paused and groaned from a contraction. "Won't be able to forgive you for leaving us without a word."

"I get it. I wouldn't be able to forgive you either if you left without a word, scaring mom and I. I'm just glad we won't have any tension between us." Vanessa sighed and hugged her younger sister.

"Laura?" A nurse entered the room. "Would you like an epidural or do you want to push naturally?"

Laura thought for a moment and then told the lady she would like the epidural.

The nurse put the shot in Laura's back and left the room.

"Mommy, I'm hungey." Dani complained.

"Me to mommy." Samantha groaned.

"I'll get the girls some food." Riker stood up. "What do you guys want?"

"DONALD'S!" Samantha cheered.

"YEAH DONALD'S!" Dani agreed.

"McDonald's?" Riker asked.

"YEAH!" The cousins said in unison.

"Okay." Riker walked out the door.

"Donald's is yummy." Dani told Sam.

Samantha nodded her head in agreement.

Everyone smiled and began to talk again.
