At the age of 9 there was this girl, who was so bored in her home. She decided to ran outside, to find someone to play with. Her parents didn't allow her but she disobeyed. She ran until she was far away from her house. She ran further until she bumped into a stranger. She was shocked and she quickly said sorry. The woman patted her head and squatted down to match her.
"Hey kid, why are you running all alone in the streets?" She asked. The woman's face wasn't seen by the girl because she was wearing a black mask and a black hoodie. "I got bored in the house." She replied with exhaustion. The woman giggled. "You want to come with me? There's a lot of kids you can play with there." She said.She nodded, as the woman held her hand and walked away.
She was skipping as she stepped. She was so happy that finally she's out of the house. Her parents has been protecting her because the outside world was too dangerous for her at this age. But she wanted to discover that "dangerous world" and so she disobeyed them. While on the way down the road, she was starting to feel numb. Her vision starting to fade away to black.
At once she passed out. That was all witnessed by her mind. After, there was none or even a single moment she remembered after her vision went pitch black. No one was outside their houses at this hour because it was a Sunday. They spend time inside the house with their family. Not even a single kid was outside. No one else witnessed the moment where she left with the woman.
When she woke up, she was at this dark room with red light. She was on a bed that seemed to be chained up. She was terrified of the red light. So she closed her eyes, she started to hear some whispers "kill yourself" a voice started to irritate her. She opened her eyes before falling into her deep thoughts. She was breathing heavily as if she ran for miles. A woman suddenly asked.
"How are you feeling little girl?" A little sarcasm was heard. She looked around to check where it was coming from. Until she saw the woman at the door. She stayed silent as the woman approached her. She was afraid to speak now. This place was new to her and she hasn't been out of her house so she really isn't sure about the outside. The woman sat beside her.
"Don't worry. You are safe here." She smiled. "Where am I?" The kid said in confusion looking around. "Welcome to the devildom. I'm Wendy." Finally the small girl saw her face. She was smiling at her, while she was still confused. The devildom? "What's the devildom?" She asked. "The devildom is a place for kids. But if you don't behave yourself, you'll go to hell."
Wendy said with a calm voice trying not to scare her. She was still in confusion but at least her brain started to understand. Wendy left and came back after 3 minutes with food. She gave it to her and let her eat. "After, I'll show you Kayden." She smiled. After eating, Wendy held her hand and brought her outside the room. It was still dark as hell. Red lights and Black concrete bricks.
She led her to a room. They went in and she saw this little boy. "Kayden, there's someone here to be your friend" Wendy smiled while walking to the boy. "Hi! I'm Kayden." The boy said with a smile. "Hi! I'm Kaylee." She said smiling back. "Kayden, was as young as 2 when we found him. He was astray in the streets. His mom and dad must've left him there." Wendy explained sitting down.
Kaylee felt bad for Kayden who was looking down. She hugged him to comfort him while he just smiled. Wendy was just giggling at their cuteness. "Kayden, I'll tour Kaylee around first then she'll play with you. Alright?" Wendy said standing up. Kayden smiled before waving bye to Kaylee. The little girl was happy to have met a new friend. She has no siblings and it made her feel lonely.
"The other kids are downstairs with Johnny. Maybe he's teaching them some Bruce Lee techniques" She said with a face palm. Kaylee laughed. " Johnny is just really used to fights and even the kids will be into fights." She said walking down the stairs.
Johnny and Wendy are a married couple. They built the devildom or should we say this castle for kids who aren't able to interact with people much and for them to learn and be able to socialize. They have 6 kids, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle and Jisung. They live far away from the town. A forbidden city is where they have built this whole castle.
They own the city and must have called it, devildom. As you both walked down the stairs, she was right the guy he mentioned was teaching the kids some Bruce Lee techniques. I guess he mastered marshal arts. "Johnny! Stop teaching them those, they'll be warriors in no time." She said stopping the music that was playing. "Mom! We're trying to learn how to punch."
A young boy whined. "Jisung, you guys are still young. When you're at the right age then you can learn. Okay?" She smiled. "Hello! I'm Jaemin." A boy approached Kaylee with a smile. "I'm Kaylee, nice to meet you." She smiled back. "Is she the girl you were saying?" The guy asked. Wendy nodded. "Kaylee, this is Johnny. And they are Jisung, Jeno, Jaemin, Haechan, Chenle, Renjun."
She pointed to each one of them. "Welcome to the devildom. Feel free to call me dad." The guy smiled. He's a talented yet caring person. Just like her own dad. But at that moment, she already forgot about her own family. "So, she's our new sister!?" Jaemin asked squealing. Wendy smiles and nodded. Jaemin was happy! He long wanted to have a sister. Kaylee was also happy.
"Oh yeah, I'm sorry if the lights are red. I'll ask Yuta to change them." Johnny said leaving to somewhere. At a second, the lights were finally normal. The castle looked very wide and beautiful. The concrete weren't black, they were white. "I'll show you your real room." Wendy said leading her to a room. This is unbelievable, she has her own room already?
She was also in shock. The room was colored purple and pink. "Jaemin and Haechan decorated it. While Jisung and Chenle made you a bracelet. It's right on the table. Make yourself feel at home. From now on, this is where you'll live." She smiled and left. She explored the room, it was beautiful. A simple girl like her was able to enter a enchanted castle.
After minutes, she changed her clothes to the ones that were on top of her bed. While she was looking around, someone knocked. "hey lil sis. Dinner is ready." A boy's voice echoed. She quickly went out of the room and went downstairs while the boy just led her to the dining room. "If you can tell, I'm Chenle" He smiled. She didn't really quite still remember who is who.
But gladly she knew their outfits. She sat down by a chair while Haechan and Jaemin sat beside her. "Kaylee, I forgot to tell you. Kayden is going to leave later. Someone has already signed up to adopt him." Wendy said while placing the food on the table. Her smile wasn't replaced. They weren't quite close but she knew it would be best if someone adopts him.
"Mom, does that mean Kaylee is also going to be adopted soon?" Jaemin asked with teary eyes. "No, she's not getting adopted. We're keeping her." Wendy said with a smile as she sat down beside Johnny. She was still afraid to call them mom and dad but sooner or later she will be able to. "Kaylee, you have no school. You'll be home schooled along with them."
Johnny said with a smile. " You don't have to be formal. Treat her like your daughter." Wendy said giggling. They just ate and after, Kaylee played along with Haechan. They watched some educational videos on the screen. While the others were into learning some skills from their dad. Wendy was just face palming. The kids won't listen. She didn't know Kayden left .
He has new parents now and it will be better for him. After hours, they went to their rooms and slept. What a nice day for someone like her. She never expected to be able to be part off family like theirs. Another day awaits her. For now, she'll have to take a rest to face that day with her new family. She totally forgot about her own family but at least she isn't alone.
