Life

And here's me back with a topic that everyone thinks about and talks about... But then again, I'm a cringe person, so I will ALSO talk about the SAME topic way after it's gone out of trend😂.

Unlike a lot of people, I do not have a poetic description of life. Mine is a pretty straightforward view of life.

As usual with me and my fantastic (cough cough)  ability of drawing comparisons, I compare life to a road, a path that leads to one specific destination, which is Death! Death, being the only certainty in life, is the only destination as well. The rest of "goals" or "aims" we have are temporary stops in the larger journey.

Now, I know how depressing this might seem... But I request you to look beyond the obvious meaning and see the empowerment behind this thought. It shows you that death is inevitable, and every other goal is temporary, which implies two very, VERY important, AND interesting conclusions.

Firstly, it shows that your success in achieving a goal brings you happiness and contentment, but it's not the end and you can achieve more... And if you fail, don't be afraid to start over, even failures are temporary.

And secondly, it encourages you to stop from blindly chasing a particular achievement. When on this special journey, you really shouldn't hurry to reach a particular stop and instead enjoy the journey itself... Watch the scenery, immerse yourself in the landmarks you might find along the road, and live the journey instead of just racing through it. Ofcourse, the 'scenery' and 'landmark' refer to the joys you get in life. A few moments of fun with your friends, quality time spent with your family, a peaceful evening with your loved one and so.

Now, don't get me wrong... Achievements ARE important in life and you SHOULD work hard for them, but ask yourself this, are they really so important that you have to sacrifice the journey to race to the checkpoint? Who knows, it might even BE that important once in a while... And you might have to rush those... But the majority of the time, it's just a level 2 in the IU scale*. So LIVE YOUR LIFE
(* = Explained at the end of chapter)

At this point, I kind of want to end my writing with a poetic twist like "The mystery of life lies in the soul of those who live through it", but let's be honest... I'm a cringey author and I write shitty quotes... So I'll leave that to you guys reading this (Ha! Tough chance... This won't get even 10 people reading till the end). But if you ARE indeed reading this, then please tell me in the comments what you think about life. Anything, from one liners to essays are accepted and I wanna see other POV-s too😁.

(Oh and write an original life quote here if you wanna... Bonus points if it's totally nuts)

-------------- Author's Note -------------

Random reader: "But what's the IU scale?"

Dumb-a$$ me: "Oh wait, I haven't discussed the IU scale? Well here it is..."

The Importance-Urgency scale, or IU as I like to call it, is a rather interesting piece of sorter for your pending or imminent work progress that helps a LOT.

It works like this:

The level 1 contains things that are Urgent AND Important, which is the rush situation where you leave your pleasures behind and just rush to complete the task

The level 1 contains things that are Urgent AND Important, which is the rush situation where you leave your pleasures behind and just rush to complete the task.

At level 2 resides most of the things we are advised to do in life in order to succeed. They are definitely Important, but not very Urgent. You need to plan things out and have some spare time for your pleasures, balancing them both into a healthy lifestyle.

Level 3 is the rather annoying interruptions that you HAVE to deal with. These are interruptions brought in by other people, for example, your neighbour's kid coming in and demanding to play games on your PC  (Alright yeah yeah! That was my personal grievance, but you get the point!). You can't really avoid these, but they don't contribute much to you either. They're Urgent, but not Important.

At the last lev 4 is the worst category of tasks ever, and NO... NOT HOMEWORK, even though I think that should really BE here. They're neither Important nor Urgent. And I think we all can agree that a lot of what we do definitely fall in this category and could easily be removed from our lives.

Okay, that's enough! It's getting way too boring so Bye-bye. See ya whenever I feel like posting next😝
