After a long trip, I arrived in front of the Addams family property.
I take a deep breath and slowly approach.
The old gate opens by itself as if welcoming me. I walk through the gate, and it closes behind me.
I ignore it and keep walking, admiring the dark haunted looking mansion. It looks old and abandoned.
Before I change my mind about this, I use the metal knocker to let them know I'm here.
A moment of silence is enough to have me second guessing, thinking I was given the wrong address, but the front door slowly opens as a tall sickly man in a butler suit stands there, looking down at me.
"Hello, my name is Morana Molchalin. Is Morticia home?" I ask politely.
The man slowly nods with a low groan and steps aside to let me in.
I walk in the big house and can't help but marvel at the elegant style of the house. Despite the dust, the spider webs, and worn out wood of the floor and railings of the stairs, this place looks amazing. Some deer heads on the walls, beautiful paintings of both families and tragedies. The furnishings I see so far must be hand made wood work. As old as everything looks, it's obvious this family is extremely wealthy.
I'm brought back to reality as I hear a silky voice call out to me from the top of the main stairs.
"Welcome to our humble abode, Morana. How was traveling here?" Asks Morticia.
"It was alright. Thank you again for having me." I smile, looking at her as she slowly descends the stairs.
I feel the butler's cold hand brush against mine as he tries to take my suitcase.
"Oh, thank you." I smile then look back at Morticia.
"I love your outfit, dear." She smiles as she gets closer.
I look down at myself, noticing we have similar outfits. Long black dresses, tightened around the body, our skins matching in paleness. My black lace scarf on my head, contrasting to my platinum blonde hair, is very different from her pure black locks.
Her dark red eyes stared into my icy ones. We smile, recognizing a mutual love for darkness despite some of our differences.
"I love your outfit as well." I compliment her back.
"Viens, let me introduce you to the family." She leads me to the living room.
In the living room, I hear grunts as two men are arm wrestling.
One of the men was a bit older and must be Gomez. A handsome man with black hair slicked back, almost shining from the lights in the spacious room. He has a black suit with dark purple stripes. A cigar between his teeth and a bit of a crazed look on his face as he almost grins ear to ear.
Gomez is wrestling with a younger man near my age. He must be Jack, their oldest son. He has messy, soft black hair a bit pulled back, though not slicked back with gel like his father.
He is wearing black suit pants, a black button-up shirt a little open at the top and black leather shoes similar to his father's. His skin is almost as tanned as his father. He has a smirk on his face as he stares into his father's dark eyes with his dark red ones like his mother's.
The men struggle against each other for a moment longer as Morticia smiles patiently.
The two men end up calling it a draw and share a firm handshake. Morticia catches their attention as they look my way.
"This is Morana Molchalin, the girl I had mentioned in the past week." She says with a sweet smile.
"Molchalin Morana, silent death, it's nice to finally meet you. My condolences for your family. Make yourself at home." He smiles and shakes my hand with both of his. I feel his energy through the enthusiastic handshake and smile with a bit of amusement.
