As the morning light shines through my window, I woke up and got ready for the day.

I look in the full-length mirror as I adjust my long black dress, deciding not to wear a black scarf today. Everything I own is either black or dark red.

Thing knocked on my door to let me know that it was almost time for breakfast. I let my pale long hair down as it settled in waves on my back and left my room.

I walked down the hall and saw Gomez in front of an open room with Thing next to him.

"For twenty-five years, we have tried to contact Fester and for twenty-five years, nothing. I'm starting to believe that my brother truly is lost." I heard him say to himself. I came next to him and he smiled as I saw me.

"Oh, good morning, Morana." he said.

"Good morning to you as well, Gomez. You seem a bit down this morning." I say sympathetically.

"He always gets like this on the day of the seances." Jack said behind me, appearing out of nowhere. He took my hand in his and kissed it as a morning greeting. I smiled as a greeting, still a bit flustered by his romantic gestures.

"You let your hair down. You look majestic, like a statue, eternal and priceless." He says in a soft voice, almost a whisper as his eyes explore mine. I can't help but blush, taken off guard by his poetic compliment.

Gomez smirked at the exchange between his son and I.

"I'm sure Fester is somewhere trying to find his way back home." I said, clearing my throat a little, changing the subject and giving Gomez a hint of hope, feeling bad for him.

"Thank you, sweetheart." Gomez said with a grateful smile at my empathy. I smiled and headed downstairs for breakfast while Jack did the same.

After breakfast, Wednesday and Pugsley go to school while Gomez and Morticia go get some fresh air on the top of the side of the mansion where Gomez always plays golf, annoying the Judge next door as Morticia watches him while sipping tea.

Meanwhile, Jack, being quite the charmer, gives me a tour of the house as he keeps me close. He makes sure I hold onto his arm, putting his hand on mine as he uses his calming, deep voice to explain the stories behind the paintings in the house. He even takes me to visit the graveyard so I can meet his deceased family.

I find it very sweet and continue staying close to him.

The tour itself didn't take too long, so we went back inside the house as Tully and his wife entered the house.

I meet Tully briefly as he has business to attend with Gomez. Jack needs to attend those meetings as the eldest son, and so he says a temporary goodbye with a soft kiss on my knuckles and a lingering glance.

I join Morticia, Margaret, and grandmama in their search for an offering for an upcoming auction.

I find Margaret's reactions to the particularities of this family to be quite amusing as I sit next to her.

Once Tully and Margaret leave, Jack doesn't waste time to come to me, taking my hand in his and leading me elsewhere.

He takes me to the small library of the house as we are alone at last.

Standing in front of the window together, he can't help but take my hands into his and kiss them feverishly. Unable to say anything, I watch him worshiping my hands, feeling warmth creeping inside my chest, making me feel a bit overwhelmed.

Despite not being used to this sort of loving treatment, this makes me feel different. A good type of difference.

"May I get closer?" He asks softly, looking up at me with that intense gaze of his.
