Chapter 6~Miss Independent~

Oh my goodness it's been so long since I've updated this story but I felt like it today so here y'all go! Shoutout to @Birdychic1218 she helped me come up with a few ideas.

Y/n's P.O.V.

We all landed silently, I heard a thud behind me and looked back to see spiderman on his ass. I rolled my eyes and helped him up. Y/S/N tapped my shoulder signaling that the men heard Spidey, "Damn it" I whispered, I looked around for something to hide behind. I saw a podium that was holding the bridge up, I waved them over to it as we all hid from the men. I suddenly got an idea, "CG, I need you to get to the other podium, got it?" she nodded already knowing of my plan.

She turned invisible and ran to the other podium, unseen, "Alright, you three need to be the distraction ok?" Y/B/N and Y/YB/N nodded, "Why?" Spiderman asked. I rolled my eyes, "I'll explain later just go!" I whisper-shouted (Is that a word?) they ran in the direct line of sight of the men. "Hey!" one of them shouted as both ran towards the boys, "Now!" I shouted to Y/S/N, as we both knocked the podiums off-balance causing the bridge to collapse on the men. They weren't dead but they couldn't go anywhere so we played a little good cop bad cop.

"Where'd you jerks get weapons like these?" I asked holding one of the weapons up, "Yeah, we need information and we might just let you guys go." I nodded along with Y/S/N, "We aren't gonna tell you shit!" one of them said whispering to the other guy, "Don't say anything." I chuckled, "Yeah don't say anything and end up in jail for life, or tell us and we let you go." Y/S/N nodded, "It's that simple," she said the one guy thought about it before saying, "We got these weapons from a guy who goes by the name of vulture."

The other guy shook his head, "He's gonna have your head for this" the first guy looked at me, "I'd be safer in jail than anywhere else." I was shocked if this guy was making people feel safe in jail, he needed to be taken down immediately. "Alright," I said lifting the podium with one hand, helping the guy out with the other, "Woah what happened" I heard someone say behind us. I turned around and was face to face with Aaron Davis, "Aaron" I said although it came out as more of a question.

"Yo Pheonix, what's going on man?" I didn't answer, Aaron and I have been good friends for a while but he doesn't know about my secret Identity. Hell, he barely knows about my powers, "I caught a bad guy, you got a problem?" I asked tilting my head. He shook his head, got in his car and left, what was he doing here? Nevermind that now, I had to get these too in jail. I grabbed the other guy and flew towards the nearest prison, I walked through the doors, "Pheonix! What do I owe the pleasure?" Harrison asked me. 

Harrison was an officer who was also a good friend of mine, "Nothing much Osterfield how about you?" He gestured to his donut, "Slow night, so not much either," I nodded, "Well I have come to change that, here ya go." I threw the two men into Harrison's desk, "Nice, what'd you catch em for?" I looked at the men signaling for them to say it.

"Illegal weapon testing," they both said flatly, Harrison nodded and showed them their cells, "Thanks Phoenix," he said. "Anytime Haz," I said as I heard a 'thwip' behind me, I turned around to see my siblings and bug boy in the station doorway. "Thanks for the help guys," I said sarcastically, "See you around ya?" I said to Haz, "I'm counting on it." I waved and flew out of the station, my sibling caught up to me, "This is a fuck ton of cardio you know? Y/B/N said. "Language!" we heard behind us, we turned around to be met with red and blue spangly outfit. 

"Uncle Steve," Y/S/N said to him, "Y/S/N, Y/B/N, Y/YB/N, Y/N, I need your help, we're going to Germany." We all looked at him like he was crazy, "you already have dad, why do you need us?" I asked as spidey finally caught up. "What's going on? Why is Captain America here?" I shook my head, "Not important" I turned back to Steve, "Does he know?" he asked referring to bug boy. I shook my head, "Not a clue" spidey decided to chime in again, "Who? Can someone tell me what's going on?"

"Like I said, not important" I turned back to Steve, "We can't talk here, It's too public, " I said referring to spidey. "Fine" he replied walking away, My siblings and I followed him, bug boy did too at first but soon went to check out a robbery nearby. We quickly ran after Steve before he came back, we followed him into an abandoned warehouse. "So why exactly do you need us and our father to go to Germany?" I asked first, "Were going up against a team that might be able to beat us, we need your skills to help us."

"What exactly are we fighting for?" Y/B/N asked, "Look, the team and I got in trouble for a mission in Lagos." Steve explained, "Ross thinks we need to be put in check, It wasn't our fault that Rumlow decided to set off a bomb in the heart of a city." I nodded, I agreed with Steve, I could tell Y/S/N could too, but Y/B/N and Y/YB/N had different ideas. "Y/B/N, Y/YB/N?" I asked wanting to know what on their minds, "I can't go with you, I'm sorry" Y/B/N said before running off.

"I can't either" Y/YB/N sai before running after Y/B/N, "That went well," Y/S/N said sarcastically. I nodded, "Are you guys in?" Y/S/N nodded, "Our dad's gonna get suspicious if we don't check in at all." Steve nodded then pulled out a flip phone, "Jesus your old" I said pout loud, Steve rolled his eyes. "Say everything's great dad" he demanded, we repeated everything he told us to say, he told us to set this up in our house. Whenever he called this recording would play, It was kinda brilliant, until I remembered what time it was, "We should get going."
