Chapter 7 ~The Phoenix~

Y/b/n's P.O.V.

I couldn't do it, I have nothing but respect for uncle steve but Ross is right, they need to be put in check. I saw the damage they did to the hospital, thousands dead, and I could tell that Y/n and Y/s/n weren't going to agree with me. At least I had Y/yb/n with me, "I can't believe, Y/n and Y/s/n are going with uncle Steve" Y/yb/n said catching up to me. I shook my head, "Neither can I, he's clearly in the wrong here," I said as we landed on a bridge. "I agree" we heard from behind us, we turned around and standing right behind us was Iron man himself. 

"Tony" Y/yb/n said, "look guys I know you won't want Y/n and Y/s/n to get in trouble but this is for the greater good." Tony said, "What do you want us to do? Were just a couple of kids" I asked wondering how we could help. "You both have amazing abilities, I think you could help us out, plus we'd be outnumbered without you." Ignoring the last part, Y/yb/n and I agreed to help, on one condition, nobody got severely hurt, which he hesitantly agreed to. Looks like we're going to Germany.

Y/n's P.O.V.

Y/s/n and I agreed to help Steve, I don't blame him, Wanda, Dad, Natasha, or any of them for what happened. They got what they needed and Wanda made a mistake, normal people would just say, 'Oh it's fine everybody makes mistakes' but when it's someone like her it's, 'she's a monster, she needs to be locked away.' Talk about injustice, but right now we were focused on packing our things, every once in a while we'd check if dad was near. Y/b/n and Y/yb/n weren't going with us, sure we're going to the same place but, they chose their side and we chose ours. 

"Ok, so we leave tomorrow at seven right?" Y/s/n whispered to me so dad wouldn't hear us, I nodded. "We need to get as much sleep as possible," I said as we headed downstairs for dinner, we sat down next to Y/b/n and Y/yb/n. Everyone stayed silent until dad asked, "What happened?" I looked at him confused, "What do you mean?" I asked, "None of you are talking, this only happens when you've been arguing." We all nodded along, "So what did Y/b/n do this time?" dad asked making us all laugh except Y/b/n who sat there with a shocked look on his face. 

"It's nothing dad, we're just tired," Y/s/n said after we stopped laughing, "Ok kiddo." We continued to eat in silence with the occasional few words to break the silence. After we ate Y/b/n and I washed the dishes, "So are you going?" I asked him as soon as everyone else left. "Yeah, I just can't believe you're going with steve," he said without looking up at me. "He's not in the wrong here Y/b/n he just-" I started but was interrupted, "He just what Y/n? He broke the law, killed thousands of people and almost let a biochemical weapon end up in the hands of terrorists." 

I stayed silent for a moment, "Almost doesn't count, and he did all of those things to save millions of other peoples lives." I said before walking into Y/s/n and I's shared room "Did you change his mind?" she asked as I walked in. "Nope, he has his heart set on this," I said flopping on my bed, "Really? I haven't seen him so set on something since getting ice cream with M-" She started but I finished her sentence, "Meghan Morrows, seventh grade" I laughed recalling the memory.

We soon went to sleep, although it was hard considering to big day we had ahead of us, neither of us got more than 5 hours of sleep. I woke to my alarm screaming at me, I turned it off and quickly got ready for the airport, I got dressed in my favorite Netflix sweatshirt, some jeans, and my black vans. I put my hat on, slipped my phone in my pocket, and silently walked out with Y/s/n.
