•Dereks POV•

Today I woke up at 8am. It's the first day of summer. Right now I'm getting ready to take my little sister to her daycare.

I just got done getting dressed. Right now I'm heading to the living room where my mom is getting my sister Delilah ready. I always take her to school because my mom works.

When I got down there my mom was doing her hair. When she was done she got up from the couch and went to get Delilah backpack with some toys and her favorite blanket in it. Her daycare is only 15 minutes away so it's not a far drive.

She hands my Delilah backpack and grabbed her work stuff. "I'll be hold by 5 ok?" She says. "Alright" I reply. She gives me and Delilah a kiss on the forehead before leaving the house. I pick Delilah up and walked her outside to the car.

I buckled her into her car seat and close the back door. I get in the driver seat and place her princess backpack in the passenger seat. I buckle my seatbelt and drive off to her daycare.

*At the daycare*

I pulled into the parking lot of her daycare. I got out and took her backpack with me. I go to her side of the car and open the door. I take her out of her car seat and pick her up then close the door.

I walk into the small building called "Rosario daycare". When I walk in I go to the front desk to sign Delilah in. I waited for about 3 minutes until a girl around my age cake to the desk.

"Hi I'm Diamond how can I help you?" She asked with a soft voice. "I umm I need to sign my sister in" I stuttered. "Alright" she grabbed a clipboard with a sign up sheet on it and pen and handed it to me. I took it and signed Delilahs name, my name, and the time. When I was done I handed it back to her.

"You're really pretty" I say. "Thank you" sha says as she smiles. I then realized what I said. "Did I say that out loud?" I asked her. "Yeah you did" she laughed. I could feel my cheeks getting red from embarrassment.

"Well I'll take her if you don't mind" she said referring to Delilah. "Oh yeah of course" I passed Delilah to her. I also handed her the backpack. "What's her name?" She asks. "Delilah" I reply. "Well I'll see you later?" she asks. "Yeah" I say.

"Bye..." she says waiting for my name. "Derek" I say with my hand out. "Diamond" she says taking my hand in hers and shaking it. "I'll see you later Diamond" I say as I turn around and walk out.

When I get in my car I just sit down for a bit. 'That went well' I thought to myself. I put the car in reverse and drove off.

•Diamonds POV•

After meeting Derek I walked back to the back which is were everything is. I let Delilah down so she could go play. I place the backpack down where the rest of them are. I walk over to where my aunt is. I volunteer here during my free time to earn some money.

"What took so long" my aunt Crissy asked me. "I was talking to someone" I say to her. "Was it a boy?" She asked. "Yeah" I say back. "Was he cute?" She asked wiggling her eyebrows. "Stop it and yes" I say laughing. A kid named Carlos came up to me. "Can you cowor wit me?" He asked me. (I'm trying to make him sound like a little kid) "Of course" I replied.

I grabbed his little hand and took him to we're the drawing and coloring stuff is. He sat in a little chair while I grabbed a big chair. I sat down. He handed me a piece of paper and crayons. We were drawing and talking for about 15 minutes.

When we were done he handed me the drawing he made. "It's for you" he says as I take it. "Aww thank you Carlos" I saw bending down to give him a hug. When I was done he ran off somewhere. This is why I love my job.

*2 hours later*
•Dereks POV•

I was getting ready to go pick up Delilah. I grabbed my keys and phone and went outside to my car. I got in the car and buckled up. I drove to her daycare.

I parked the car and went inside. I was waiting for someone to come to the front desk so I could pick up Delilah. I hope it's Diamond again.

As I hoped it was Diamond but she had a little sleeping boy in her arms. "Hey" she said. "Hey" I replied with a smile. "Here to pick up Delilah?" She asked me. I nodded my head yes. She held onto the boy with one hand and handed me a sign out sheet with the other.

I signed Delilah out. I handed her the clipboard. She went to the back to go get Delilah.

*5 minutes later*

After 5 minutes she came out with Delilah and Delilahs backpack in her hands. She handed me the backpack and the Delilah. I said bye to her and was about to walk out until I stopped myself.

I turned around and went back to the front desk. When she looked up and saw me she looked confused. "Can I get your number?" I ask her. "How about my Instagram?" She asked. "How about your number" I asked again tilting my head to the side. ( He desperate desperate💀)

"Instagram. Take it or leave it" she said leaning against the front desk. "Fine" I reply taking my phone out of my pocket and handing it to her.She typed in her Instagram and followed herself. She then took out her phone and followed me back.

She handed me my phone back and I looked at her following. I was surprised. 1.5 mil followers it's said. "You have a lot of followers I see" I say go get. "You do to" she says putting her phone away. "Well I got to go but I'll talk to you later Derek" she says. "Alright, bye diamond" I say walking backwards. "Bye" she says waving her hand. Then she walked to the back.
