I woke up to the sound of someone banging. Ugh, don't they know its 7am, its too early to be banging up crap. Since I'm already awake, I may as well get up.
As soon as I'm up, I go do my morning routine. When I finish my mourning routine, I go to my wardrobe and pull out some shorts, a belt, a T-shirt, and my favourite black Converse shoes. I get dressed and put my shoes on. I go downstairs and to the kitchen.
I see a note from my Uncle Joe. Arielle - had to go to work earllu, I will see you tonight. I'll bring home dinner - Love Uncle Joe.
I smile a little and go search for food. As I searched for food, I tried to think of what to do today. I finally realized that there was nothing to eat in the house. I decided to go out and get something to eat.
I grabbed my house keys and left. I locked the front door behind me and grabbed my skateboard, which sat against the wall. I began to make my way to get food.
I looked across the road, there was a moving truck in front of the house that used to be up for sale. I guess the real estate agent finally sold the place.
My skateboard hit a crack in the sidewalk, I went flying, I hit the sidewalk. "Crap!" I muttered to myself. I got I looked down at my hand, it had blood on it and so did my knee.
I sighed, and picked up my skateboard so I could go back to the house and clean myself up.
Once I'm inside I grab the first aid kit and grab some gauze, I turn the tap on and fiddle with the temperature for a bit until its warm. I stick the gauze under the warm water and then into my knee and gently dab at it until there's no more blood.
When theres no more fresh blood on my hand and knee, I stick a big bandaid on my knee and hand. Once im all patched up I pack the first aid kit away and throw away the used gauze.
Once again I grab my house keys and my phone and go search for food. Again I grab my skateboard and begin to make my way into town. This time I keep my eyes focused on the way I'm going to I don't crash again.
When I finally get to town, I go to the small diner Uncle Joe took me to when I first came to live with him. Mary, the diner's manager, is the first person I see when I walk in. "Good morning Arielle." Mary said as I walked by her. I smiled and sat at my usual booth. "Morning Mary." I said, looking at the breakfast menu.
I took a quick look at the menu and looked up and saw a waitress standing in front of me. "Mary sent me to take your order." The waitress said. I smiled and looked at the menu again. "I'll have the choc chip pancakes and a glass of orange juice." I said, as the waitress wrote down my order.
As the waitress walked away, I turned my attention to the window. From where I sat, you could see the park. Little kids were playing in the park, their parents watching over them to make sure no harm came to them. Seeing that only reminded me that my parents are arseholes. Pardon my French.
