(The character you see next to Gordon is my character Violet, its who I imagine when I'm writing this. I'm curious to know what you guys imagine. OwO)

At some point I had fallen asleep in Gordons arms, because when I woke up I was back at the base in my bed. Even though I was awake I kept my eyes closed and hoped I would drift back off into sleep. I wasn't ready to face everyone yet...to face Vanessa especially. Would they think I was untrustworthy? Or that I was hiding something more...what would Gordon think? Did he just come to comfort me because he wanted to be nice...? Surely he felt betrayed...SURELY he felt HURT from me not telling him I was really a witch...the stress of it all was so over whelming. As I laid in bed, wanting to practically shrivel away, I heard my door crack open slowly then close after someone came in. I listened as this person came over to my bedside and stopped, placing something down next to me. After a moment it crawled over me...and began to lick my face. Very small licks, then a small pinch.

"O-oh no kitty no biting..." Gordons soft voice spoke, making me not able to contain my fake sleeping state any longer. I let out a soft giggle and slowly opened an eye, peaking down at what was nibbling at my cheek. A small, Tortoise colored kitten stood on my chest. Light brown and black coloring was scattered across its body, including its face where the brown spots sprinkled across its face made it look like it had freckles. A soft yet mighty meow came from this kitten, making me completely drop the sleeping act and sit up.

"Awwwwwh, hello sweet baby!" I gushed softly, lifting its soft body up and cradling it. "who are yooooou? Lil cutiiiiee." I looked over and saw Gordon who was smirking, making me clear my throat and compose myself. "Pretend...you didn't see that."

"How are you feeling?" He asked, softly reaching over and rubbing the kittens head.

"I'm fine...well...physically." I averting my gaze back down to the kitten and watched as it purred up a storm. "Why the kitten?"

"You seemed very distressed last night. After I found you, you told me your mother had hurt your last pet, and you were very upset about it. I am not very skilled in making others feel better when it comes to losing a love one or they are in a great deal of pain. So I hoped getting you a companion of sorts would lighten your day. I hope you do not take it as a replacement though, as I know you can never truly replace a pet." Gordon said, talking quiet quickly yet softly. I smiled softly and rubbed my thumb softly against the kittens head.

"Thank you...You..." tears began to weld up in my eyes. "you didn't have to."

"oh no...I have made you sad. Perhaps it was a bad idea after all...I should have gotten you something that didn't remind you of your last companion..." Gordon said beginning to panic. I shook my head, tears welding up more.

"I love it." I sniffled, tears rolling down my cheeks. "I just...after yesterday...I expected you to hate me."

"why would I hate you...? Have you done something wrong that I have no knowledge of? Even if you have, I won't judge you. We all do things sometimes that we think is right but can be wrong. We can talk about it and work it out."

"I...I lied to you. I hid things from you! To never tell you I was a witch...to put everyone in danger by just being here...don't you feel...betrayed?" I peeked over at him, and saw his face was very relaxed. A soft smile appeared on his face as he reached up and wiped my tears away with his thumb.

"We all keep secrets. We all have backgrounds that we may not be proud of or parts of us we hide from everyone else. Those things...don't matter to us though. We are all very strange, and I love that about us. We make a family where we can, and we don't judge each other for it." I now fully looked at him, watching as he grabbed a tissue and handed it to me. "No one cares that you are a witch, or that you kept it from us. I cannot speak for everyone else, but I don't care if you being here puts us in danger. You are a black bull and as long as you are I will protect you." Despite his dark appearance his kindness shined like no one else's. I sniffled and wiped my face, my face heating up from his words.
