we're out together.
I know it's all friendly
and platonic, but there's
something that rings
in my mind when you say
you're grateful that I'm

My heart swells,
my cheeks grow warm,
and my mind jumps
to multiple conclusions
like there's a slim chance
that there's more to what
you're saying--that I'm
more than just a friend.
Maybe I shouldn't
romanticize our 1:18
hangouts, but there's

I hope you accept
my jacket when

you're feeling
a bit chilly.
