The way your nose
scrunches up when
I say something
absolutely stupid does
something to my chest.
I can't fight the
warmth that riles
its way up to my
face and ears when
you're jamming out
to that one happy song
with that hairbrush-
microphone of yours.
You do things to
my mind when you
look through that
camera at the top
of your phone,
like you're secretly
piercing your eyes
through my soul--
it's nerve-wracking
but also kind of cute.
I really shouldn't
feel this way.
I know I shouldn't.
But when your eyes
closes and your lips
naturally fall into a
small part, I can't
help but want more.
That's why 1:18 AM
is a bad time
to catch feelings.
You start wanting more
than what you have.
